Kia ora boys and girls

I stumbeled across this website a couple of months back and have found it quite useful and motivating.

After being a dedicated cyclist for approx 2 years a nasty spill sliding down the gravel of a hill and into a bank steered me in the direction of weight training.

Weight 87.8kgs

height 6ft

Age 26

In just under 5 months of training to bulk up/tone up (not excatly sure what my goals are) ive gone from 84.2kgs to 87.8. Lifting heavier (after the cycling i had lost a lot of upper body strength). gradually getting bigger and looking a lot more toned, so i guess im getting there, slowly.

The only supplement im using is protein powder ( 2 young children and a stay at home wife limits my expendable income) eating egg whites, tuna pasta etc, pretty much know the "healthy eating" from my stint with cycling.

I train by myself and do a 3 day split

Chest and tris

Back and biceps

Shoulders and legs, every 2nd day i throw in abs.

Anyone on here train at les mills in the Hutt thats looking for a training partner? Sure i would reach my goals faster if i had the added motivation of a parnter to spur me on and pass on there knowledge

Cheers

Cheers guys, na havnt been lurking around too long.... pretty informative website, helped quite alot with my training

Welcome!

Good to see you've soaked up some info, great to see you're sticking to basics & not trying the usual 6 day split with far too much in it that many beginners go mistakenly go for!
