20 rep squat video

the file is 90mb!!

Jesus Christ.

I sure hope there're some hot ladies and violence, twisted around in a wicked plot.

Was he rest-pausing or something?

No ladies, plots or violence but he's one of the few big guys I've seen who can do clapping chin-ups  There's also some powerlifting footage in the clip.

The squats are impressive - it takes him a few minutes to do the set. Good old fashioned 20 rep breathing squats.

I agree that 90mb is a bit rough! It's good to have a decent connection at home...thanks ihug. :) Maybe someone who knows what they're doing can shrink the file and host it somewhere?

Can I get some advice from the Squat veterans...

Looking at his squats he seems to go down fast and 'bounce' back up.

I'm lifting 60kg max for 5 reps at the moment, and I go down about half that speed, and come back up without any 'bounce'

Am I doing it too slow ? Does he have to 'bounce' due to the heavy weight ?

Thanks

never bounce it can cause knee problems. slow and controlled all the way.

i squatted 170 this week with zero bounce.

The following video is one of the illest, most insane, hardcore demonstrations of human performance that I've ever seen. As you will see, Sarge has improved his best squat from 220x1 three years ago to a psychotic 218x98. Let's face it, you and I don't have the balls to try something like this. But if you want to get a small taste of what it would be like to squat your bodyweight 98 times, just load a bar up, unrack it and just stand there for 10 minutes. Hey, what the heck, maybe some one out there is nuts like Sarge. Send us the video, I'd be honored to host it.

Your bodyweight on a bar, 98 times! I f*****g dare anyone on this board to have a crack at that. MADNESS! My quads are screaming thinking about it!

Thanks Jono, would you consider what he is doing in the video a bounce?

i just watched it HELL YES. very very poor form. very dangerous for the knees. dont do it!!

Judging by the website it came from, I'd say these guys' joints are well conditioned to this sort of brutality. Strongmen like that aren't always so 'technical'!
