Well things have cranked up.

Diet

M1 Cup oats, 50gm pp, pineapple

M2 - M4 700gms chicken, salad

M4 has a cup rice

M5 shake, banana

M6 tin creamed rice (training days only), 50gm pp shake

M7 300gms steak, veg

M8 shake 1/2 banana

M9 shake (if I get up for a wizz)

Training yesterday chest and tris.

Whole bunch of triple sets for chest and tris - that killed my tris. Last set was skull crushers with chains.

Today was legs.

Lots of sets that included a PB on leg press 340kgs.

Forgot my shoes again, but before I got extremely pissy one of the gym owners loaned me his. Bloody good bloke.

I find the 9 + meals a day so much easier to do than a few big meals.

You do feel like you are grazing all day though. A bit like a horse :pfft:

What your total Cals? just approx man i know you don't do details with this side of things :nod:

Oh & that is a mean number on the leg press (always feels good with a new PB). Is that your machine maxed out or can it hold more?

First week of the Xmas cycle has been interesting.

Pinning every day isn't a preferred option, but has to be done. Tried the glutes once - never again. Arse hurt for 4 days after. Legs - only struck a bleeder once. The test mix is giving me a bit of localised pain around the quad sites. Nothing major. Also getting more aches in different places atm.

Have noticed it's harder to pin in the delts, like the muscle has hardened up a bit.

Weight has gone up about 1.5kgs. Hunger is good, increased chicken to 700gms during the day. Have increased the carbs and calories as well. Waist has fluctuated about a cm.

Definitely get more knackered after training. Back day was an absolute failure, just struck a day with no energy. Week before managed 180 rack pull, this week struggled at 140. Going give it a hiding tomorrow training with a guy at my gym.

Hi oldfella. I enjoy reading your log and have seen the strength increases you enjoyed over the cycle :clap:

But I am somewhat underwhelmed by the body change in the pics. Some people just don't respond as well as others to gear and I guess your age plays a part in it too.

Keep up the hard work though, you obviously love your training and that is the most important part of it.

Might wanna look at extending your stack a bit next cycle \:D/

Agree with extending the cycle ... longer means more retained. SG I think you need to consider age as a factor also. IME if a person has trained all their life and then goes on cycle they will respond well - but if your only really starting out the gains may not occur the same way. However - extending the cycle and after a few more there should/could be a marked improvement. Good feedback though ....

When its starts squeeking as you put the pin in, you know you got too much scar tissue going on :lol: But hey, lateral head of the delts cant be too big aye :pfft: whatever it takes OF :grin: Nice food plan.

Good job OF. Your plan is working. Looking forward to seeing the bigger version next time we catch up. Can put you thru the 350 set lying hack squat routine to bring those legs up if ya keen. 5 day DOMs gauranteed :D

This lying hack squat, how does it differ to the regular hack squat machine.

Had enough with big P today to see me right for a couple days, but 350 reps - that's impressive. :nod:

2 weeks into the xmas special.

3kgs in weight on.

7.5cm up on chest

5.8cm up on shoulders

0.5cm up on arms

Waist and legs unchanged.

2 more weeks to go for the first part.

3 inches on your chest :notworthy:

Waist unchanged :nod:

88.2kgs and 12.73% BF.

So a 0.23% increase in BF for 5kgs weight gain.

Based on my guys measurements from last time (as opposed to my wife's measuring)

Shoulders – 5cm

Chest – 3.5cm

Arms – 2cm and .75

Waist – 1.5cm

Quads – 1.5cm and 1.5cm

Pretty pleased with that.

Busted out some PB's over the last 4 weeks.

400kg Leg Press (just a couple). Fucked me for 3 days after.

45kg DB Incline Press

Whole stack Leg Ext

Almost whole stack Machine Flys

4 plates / side 1 arm machine chest press

4 plates / side (negatives only) shoulder machine press

Also cranked out some tricep quad supersets....

Reverse grip pulldown

Pushdown

OH rope ext

Rope pulldown

Bloody good way to fry those tris. Almost knackered myself on them last night.

:ditto: when does this cycle finish?

Part 1 on Sunday. Will use up the last of the test "party mix" (prob about a weeks worth) then that's it till end of Jan. Take a break Xmas / New Year plus a bit hard taking gear over to Oz for my time on the beach after that.

Short update.

Cycle finished (or out of gear :pfft: ).

Weight shot up to 89.75 Monday and today sitting at 86.75. Assuming I've been dropping water. Diet cleaned up with the pigging out on calories stopped (except the late brekkie this morning). Finished off a box of Nutra Grain, yoghurt, 50gm pp. Enough sugar in there for this mornings workout.

Strength still good. Proof by almost keeping up with the guy I train with on weekends. The triceps took a beating yesterday, pain level on those is moving which is good.

Haven't taken any pics for the forum, the size is good (bigger / fuller) but everything looks rounded, not enough detail.

Having a discussion about what to look at pre travel to ensure the gains are held. May be a booster before I go to see me through the 2 weeks.
