Any harm in telling your doc?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys

just a quick question. so unlike the american health system we'll be covered for any health problems that may occur whether we have health insurance or not? so in saying that is there any harm in telling the doc youre ON or thinking of going ON?

Cheers and thanks all for your knowledge and advice to date.. much appreciated.

I think MuscleNZ covered this a few months ago, maybe ask him.

From memory some people have had issues with medical insurance out-clauses where drug use (of any kind outside of scripted meds) meant cover was declined where the use could have contributed to the condition.

You will be covered by the public health system but if yoou heath insuance company gets wind of it they wont cover you.

The catch 22 of using (or in this case disclosing use of) illegal drugs!

Probably another thing for potential users to factor into the equation before jumping on the juice

id speculate that you have nothing to gain by telling your average gp bro. they dont have any real aas knowledge, and arent going to be able to give you specific advice anyways.

and dont think they will prescribe you dost if you call in with leaky nips brah!

It would only be an issue if you were crook and your GP did blood tests etc.

If they decide to operate the insurace company will give the thumbs up or down

The insurance company have full access to all documents. And you have to answer any questions they ask you and if they beleive you are lying they can deny our claim.

Yeah true that, at present I ask my Doc for the typical blood tests (LH FSH total test, Liver ALT AST, cortisol, estrogen etc..) and he doesnt ask questions, guess thats the best you can expect from your local GP?

Moving to Tauranga next week so will have to find another Doc, perhaps a busy public service type practitioners that are too busy to ask questions?

bro, my doc grilled me when i asked him about it. i bought in previous tests id ordered myself, that showed i had low test. and yet he actually refused to do follow up tests, because im 'not sick'. says govt shouldnt have to pay for elective tests, even though i had abnormal results.

so all docs are diff, if you need to, just desribe having symptoms of low test

Some GP's won't even test for some of this without telling you to go to the lab and get the tests done yourself (and thus pay for them yourself). Some tests are not deemed "critical to health"

so all docs are diff

That they are.
