Hey buddy.

Height? I dont really reckon there is anything much you can do about that but for starters,

if you just wanna put on a bit of size Id suggest that you get yourself some protein and creatine and eat shitloads of food and drink shitloads of water.

At your wieght Id recommend at least 200gms of protein a day.

Drink at least 5 lts of water a day. Important 4 your muscles.

As for that light weight stuff, quit that shit man. Get into some heavy sets with some heavy wieght that you are able to handle. You aint gonna put on much to none size at all doing light weights man. Keep the reps low (6-8) and concentrate on good form.

U signed up at a gym M8?

Welcome, Ric. Sorry I didn't say hi earlier - must have missed your post!

You might want to check out our Bodybuilding for Beginners articles here to get you started.

Don't stress about the height factor too much. For a start, I'm not sure there's much you can do about it. But also, being short often makes you look bigger (longer limbs require more muscle to fill them out). It's an optical illusion - but then a lot of bodybuilding is... Use it to your advantage! :D

Welcome to the board ric. I think jono haeta's summary post is fairly accurate of what you need to do.

Eat heaps, drink lots of water, get a decent amount of protein, get into some heavy weights or more so try to really start giving it some full on intensity, and rest.

If you have your diet sorted and have a good routine you are bound to have big gains comming your way
