Now i am confused in Mark's letter he is pretty much saying that Jim Manion has no say nor does Moe, YET Paul states in his letter that he has notified Jim Manion of his decision and he supports it 100%. Why if Mark is saying it has nothing to do with him is Paul getting his approval?? Help is needed here. Also i see that Mike is upset that he was invited to attend a judging course, i have been in my profession for 15 years and i am always up skilling myself and bringing myself up to speed with new laws, new acts, current changes in what's going on this is something that a professional should do to make sure they do not become sloppy or stale in whatever there profession and to keep a fresh approach on how the world is moving - Mike a real shame that you object to up skilling yourself and staying intouch with what is happening after all it would be a benefit for the Athlete's in my opinion.

hhhmm quick to imply that just because moe decided judges had to reapply, that mike was in need of refreshing... wait wut?

it seems you are yet again trying to discredit others, but have no answer to moes failings?

Startinfromscratch i am not at all saying anyone needs refreshing read the post carefully before letting go. All i was simply saying is would you let a doctor cut off your arm if he has not kept his training up or bothered to up skill himself in surgery procedures? The same applies for judging bodybuilder's or judging in a courtroom there is no difference it is good to keep yourself up to speed with what is going on to do bring the best you can for your client. Do you disagree with this comment?

i do agree with the sentiment that you imply.

what i dont agree with is the motivation behind the notion - a doctors skills, and judging a bbing show are apples and oranges.

For arguments sake, what are the grounds that MikeD needs a refresher? hes not out of touch with the bbing in nz, and unless he has alzheimers or is now visually impaired, i cant see why his judging ability being indirectly undermined?

i guess what im saying is, i feel that the judges being made to reapply seems to have been motivated by underhand intentions. im not involved, so do not think its right to 'speculate' on why moe would want to reshuffle judges. but anyone who has read this whole thread will have a fair idea anyways.

where there is this much smoke, theres usually a forest fire.

Loochi i am sorry i don't even know Moe i have met him once only and that was a quick hello. So before getting upset and trying to make silly comments read my reply to startfromscratch. This posting is not about who is right or who is wrong i am a follower of BB and had concern about the accusations that have been posted here. It is important to be sure of our facts that is all i am saying.

Startfromscratch it does not matter what profession you are in there is always room for improvement i am a firm believer of this and what can it hurt if you walk away with just one more piece of knowledge from a training? Surely it has to benefit the Athlete. I no a BB Judge is far from a Doctor BUT an Athlete puts hours and hours into getting themselves ready for a show surely one training is worth that Athlete. Hey challenge me if i am wrong i have no issues with that but really is this a complaint you can use against Moe?

is this a complaint you can use against Moe?

well having read what mikeD's experiences were with this part of the puzzle, i have to reiterate - refreshing is a good thing. i agree.

BUT its the principle of the matter. without putting mikes words in my own mouth (cba copy/pasting) The motivation behind the judging course was not for the judges and competitors benefit. it should have been, but it wasnt. only mik can elaborate on this.

Startfromscratch i respect your comment but i am not sure that you can say it was not for the benefit of the Judges each Judge is an individual they Judge on an indvidual basis SO the training is what that individual takes from it an uses to help him sharpen up his Judging. If a Judge goes to a training and gets nothing from then it wasn't for him but never ever have i been to a trainer or motivational speaker and never come out better for it and then using it on my clients for the better of them!! If it wasn't for the Judges benefit why were they asked to attend. Anyway enuf on that subject i just can't see how anyone can use this against Moe. Just my ten cents worth. If you read this thread with an open mind you will see that there is alot of comments that could be challenged. It's a worry.

Hmmm...

A friend made me realise that... Shouldn't there be a signiture on the letter from Paul? I know it's copied n posted, but shouldn't we get a screen shot of the real thing with a signiture on it? Anyone coulda wrote that.

And no Becks not being a smart ass, was curious that's all.

And again, do we get our money now??? The people who were promised money for Nationals? lol

Loochi i was not saying at all that you were been a smart ass. And yes you are totally correct for any letter to bear it's weight there should be proof of documentation on any letter giving anyone the right to override an existing committee.

That seminar/course was run by IFBB Pro judge John Truman! I wish i was invited it would have been well worth listening to the IFBB's top judge giving his insights on how to pick the best physique in bodybuilding and figure!

Lifes about opportunities i guess.

That letter "apparently" from Paul Graham (remember it was April fools day when it was posted) states copies of emails will be sent to Rafael (IFBB President).

Wouldnt you think a serious decision like this would actually come from Rafael on offical IFBB letter head not from the Autralian President via email?

I'm going to watch from the side lines now.

becks this is a amatuer sport not proffessional in normal circumstances its reasonable to upskill in order to be better equipped and earn more potentially in the future

when you ask judges who are the best in the country to travel to another city at their expense and pay to reapply with no gaurantee this is unreasonable if it was a well paid position it would be acceptable

there is a shortage of judges and its going to get worse.

how about you volunteer to give up your time travel across country hotels and pay to apply and see how you feel. its a kisk in the teeth for Mike

also i have seen moe spend time on the figure girls than on running a show. when you are a organiser thats your main priority not tanning when the shows running behind and unorganised

il leave it up to individuals to come on here and voice how they have been treated

what are your other concerns you say there are many comments that could be challenged.

i think you have a crush on moe sorry if comments about his actions are hurting your feelings

Loochi have you invoiced the appropriate people for this money that is owed to you?

becks get your facts straight some competitors were promised either 200 or 250 on the day of the nationals upon registration depending on what city you were from that was 6 months ago

no invoice necesary

stop trying to defend someone for something you know nothing about

looch, moe must be withholding your 2 hundy due to lack of evidence of your expenses. you should send him your fuel, tan etc receipts, im sure hell jump to it.

after all, he has sole charge of the fed $$, and has all the fed info on his pc.

LOL

Pretty lame of me to be honest to cry over 200 bux because not to try sound cool but it's not that much money... But when I get promised somehting and don't get it.. I dono.. Get mad I guess lmao.

Trainharder calm down it's ok i am not attacking you and what i don't get is if you have an opinion on here then it means either you are against or don't agree with what everyone else is saying or you are have a crush on someone or you don't know what you are talking about. Trainharder and get rid of your anger don't attack before been attacked. If i had the time i would love to Judge however i have unfortunately i don't have the time. I was only trying to offer help to Loochi. I am sorry i disagree with you it is amateur what makes them any less worthy of been Judged by the best they train just as hard as anyone else and deserve to be on stage been Judged by a Judge that is up to speed. Tell me i am wrong all you amateur compeditor's. And if i am i appologise.
