what do you mean by this? i have difficulty with forward lean so elevating the heel, i find helps me alot.

Im no expert and wasnt having a crack at ya...but I was of the understanding that flat, uncompressable soled shoes were best for general lifting (BB and PL) and that heeled lifting shoes were more for oly lifters and used to hit depth in front squats etc for overhead squatting, highbar work and all that clean/jerk/snatch work. Now not entirely sure but I think I saw that on stronglifts.com ...

Many powerlifters lift in elevated heels. Especially in the IPF, but not so much in the multiply feds. At the IPF world's most lifters seem to use them.

I got some VS athletic oly shoes, they do the trick for me. Though I wouldn't mind a bit less of a heel, I think mine are about 2.3cm.

oh yep, what im looking for is an uncompressable shoe with that elevation. i typically squat deep but with a bit of forward lean, the elevated heel allows me to go deep with less forward lean without compromising the knee as much or changing the mechanics of the lift too much.

dont many PL squat with elevated shoes whatsoever?

edit^bowling shoes would be perfect, though uncomfortable

I just bought a $17 pair of Urban equipment shoes from the warehouse. They just have a thin rubber sole with no cushioning whatsoever. Colour is bright blue, so I'll get mocked heaps. Squatted 320x2 in them today, so seems to work.

i dont even know what sort of shoes they are.. google search comes up with something like this

merrell-chameleon-vent-gtx.jpg

is this the one? if so, what sort of elevation are these?kinda hard to tell.

ive been squatting for a while now on weight plates with chucks so the elvation is according the plate. it works well but you fiddle too long getting the heels even.

anything that doenst compress that has a 1.5-2 cm elevation and is affordable would be very suitable.
