Good Physio in Wellington

Maximus

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know a decent sports minded physio in Wellington?.

I have had issues with my rotator cuffs for a while and the intensity of my workouts and BJJ is not helping these at all.

Also I think that I may have a partial tear of my left ACL as well.

Proves I'm getting old.

Plug here for Michelle McElvaney, works for KCP Physio based in Cityfitness Thorndon (old Bodyworks). She only does Tuesday/Thursday though, as far as I'm aware.

Through Rugby and Weights, I've dealt with a few physios in the past (as I'm sure a lot of people on this site have :pfft:), and Michelle is up there with the better ones I've used  She's been dealing with my Hamstring injury very nicely, and I don't mean to speak for him, but I believe TFB rates her too (he recommended I try her).

You can book through their website :)

Yep, Michelle at KCP is good. Although she's the only physio I've used, she did a better job of diagnosing my issue than my GP did; she explains how her therapy will achieve the results; and she GETS results.

My ability to self-manage an injury, knowledge of injury-specific stretching/ easing etc are all much improved as a consequence of Michelle's assistance.

The only other physio I've heard of who's delivered good results is Cashman, Intergen House, 44 The Terrace - but I have no first-hand experience.
