Injuries..Are they inevitable?

cantygirl its hard to imagine that all your injuries were unavoidable unless they were all acute injuries, i.e strains and sprains of the muscles/tendons and cartilage. if your being trained that hard then its counterproductive. was your training high volume or low volume? when someone says 'take it' it sounds like theyre almost pushing your body beyond its limits on a constant basis which isnt any good for strength training and is even worse for bodybuilders, as the volume is generally higher.

Yes thats correct, acute injuries. My injuries are due to not listening enough to my body, pushing way beyond my limits to please my trainer. I was training with my PT weekly, but since Christmas I have pulled back to training myself. Leading up to comps last year I developed patella tendonitis through deep deep wide squats and running long distance on the road, bit of a wake up call for me. During the year I injured my terres minor through D.B. bench press, I could hardly hold the weights my wrists were giving up, but my trainer kept pushing me. Yes I know its up to me to say enough is enough, but being a strong S type personality, I love to please. Anyway, this year has been much better, I feel that I now am in control again.
