Wouldn't it be great if NZ had its own http://www.eattogrow.com/results.cfm?Ca ... subcat=ALL ....

Could be a good opportunity for someone ....

Work out the Chicken Breast to US$2 per breast. I reckon if a butcher set themselves up to cater to BBlders and power lifters they would do quite well out of it given the amount we consumer is probably 3 - 5 times more than the average human.

Why bother when they make much more from us?

I'm not saying prices will be the same - but wouldn't it be easier just to go online each week and order a 10lb pack of rump and chicken breast with 6L of egg white and have it delivered to your door - for the lowest price based on you spending ex amount in total. A good loyalty program

Totally agree with you. At the moment everyone shops around for the specials, so no single shop gets all the business. If one shop gave good pricing to bb'ers they would be likely to get all the business on a constant basis. It would then be up to the bb'ers pl'ers etc to ensure they all shopped there to justify the discounts.

I did a deal with my butcher on meat and chicken breasts. I simply asked him to match the best deal I could find locally and he does. I now buy all our milk and bread there too and recommend him to others in our area. He's on the win and we get a good deal.

4.5oz is a very small chicken breast though, works out to be 16-17USD/kg. Don't know how expensive chicken is everywhere else over there but that doesn't seem to be that great of a deal.
