Who saw it?

Got to say Joanna Thomas looked very impressive (and only 5 2" and about 130 pounds) - very hard to guage the height and weight differences between alot of those women on TV.

It covered her from the GNC and Olympia from 2004 - at the end she said she was going for the Ms O 2005 but from those results she didn't place so I guess she didn't compete.

It was really the first time I have ever really seriously given any consideration to female bbing as a sport - I have known a few and watched them train etc but this doco really brought it home to me the real nature of what is involved.

My hat is off to these girls - obviously extreme commitment and alot of adversity outside the sport. I have mixed feelings about it (just as I have about male bbing extremes as well) but it is all personal choice.

It is a shame really that bbing is such a odd sort of game in that she basically has to sell herself as a sex object to get enough support to continue competing but then again I guess that is nearer to the truth about bbing than maybe we care to admit.

Now - anybody out there who will pay me a couple of grand to get naked?

The thing that interested me was how she said the sport had changed since when she first got into it. Any comments from our bodybuilding veterans on this?

Interesting thread.

I saw this doco a couple of months back and thought it was a pretty accurate depiction of female bodybuilding. Joanna herself seemed pretty sad... If she HAD won the Ms Olympia, I'm not so sure she'd be happy anyway.

Her physique was awesome though... wish I had her calves! Saw Jen Hendershott in the background of the Ms Olympia footage and have to say that I prefer her physique (bodyfitness category?) moreso than the bodybuilding.

As for the webcam bit.. :shock:
