Hi guys,

I've been a reader of this forum on and off lately, mostly depending on my weight training motivation levels at the time and how busy work is (I work online).

My background is martial arts (karate, almost 20 years - im 26) more than bodybuilding although I've had to supplement my usual training with weight sessions throughout my sporting career. I've stopped competing in karate in 2008 and been doing kickboxing at City Kickboxing in Auckland for the past year and loving it.

Anyhow there's some interesting posts/characters around on this forum so I thought I'd join in and along the way learn a thing or two.

btw i dont think gymsta is even a person, i suspect he is a spambot :pfft:

I had my suspicions EMC :)

At the moment my training is 3 days a week kickboxing + 3 days running as I'm doing the Round the Bays next week. The plan is to replace the 3 days running with weights after the event, so I'll get a PT mate to put together a workout for me. I'll post it on here soon. Personally, it's the diet part that I need to work on more rather than the exercise but I'm slowly sussing that out too by making small long term changes.
