How do you go about tracking and starting your diet? Got the basics down

5000 calories 50/30/20 ratio

Now gathering nutritional info

Planning 2 different menu's, so I don't get bored eating same things

Gathering totals of each macro nutrient from daily menu to see if its consistent with my ratio

can anyone add to this?

1 What are some good websites/software to track diet? fitday.com is for losing weight looking for weight gain

2 Does anyone know of any good tracking templates regarding the things above?

3 Anyone know of any articles regarding energy/kcal?

Sure. Can you not tell fitday how many calories you want to eat? Just because it says it's a diet site doesn't mean you can't use it to track your food? I'd check but CBA signing up to it.

If/when I'm tracking I just look up individual foods and use a spreadsheet. I find you tend to get a feel for it quick so strict tracking isn't always required. To be honest most times I've just used paper.

Only a couple of menus might get boring pretty quick? You can always add more foods as you go though eh.
