Competitors 2010

What do you mean by fat?

Remember it's not sustainable to keep your body in competition condition all year round,

 .... And adding to that any bodybuilder who has been doing it for a while can so easily "flick a switch" and lose the weight when ever they want. Joe Bloggs doesn't know how. I say even if a bodybuilder does get "fat" good on them if that's what they choose to do as chances are, they've been without for so long they deserve some forbidden fruit. It's not "Bulking up" though! :pfft: I was sitting at 103kg on New Years day and I am on stage at 86kg. Was I worried? 8) People could actually take a leaf out of our "Diet book" really.....

Wait to you see me then, NQ photos were an indication of where I'm at!

57kgs last comp. Nov 09 - 71.5kgs in Cairins January this year!

Same story last year, my avatar is from the Southerns May 09

13 weeks out this Sunday, so time to flick the switch again!

Once your in the zone it's all good, but getting back into comp dieting.......I reckon that's the hardest for me. Training is always there, cardio, it only takes me a few weeks to get back into the routine of loving it again, it's that diet arghhhh

it definitely helps having that goal in sight.

wow thats a pretty good drop! almost 20kgs

(Some of it would have been water) I'm well on the way (sitting at 93), I won't get over 100kg again though (that's the plan). I got a bit sick late last year and when I lack energy from being sick I eat, but don't burn the calories.... :pfft:

Sounds like you are on the way L.M.Oats, What's your first, NABBA NZ Asia Pacific? (sorry if I've asked you before  )

:)

It's just diet holding me back, but I try and look at the positives - if I pig out, then I have to work harder - hence killer legworkout tonight, might smash 6 plates I think.

When it comes down to it, everything has to be in place, any distraction will affect your comp. prep - for me being unsettled... is affecting my dieting currently, damn morning teas, leaving dos, boredom, anxiety, etc....

If I'm feeling awesome about my physique then it'll be NSW titles, NABBA Au show in Sydney otherwise Boracay, Phillippines!

I want to be shredded.

Boning up on NABBA Nats 09 & North harbour dvd - something to motivate me, awesome routine by the way Greg

Im on the Lee Priest diet

He's my idol!!!! I do the same myself actually.

sorry mate - back to the flicking the switch.

Do you tend to wean yourself off the forbidden foods or just go cold turkey, Greg?

What are the rest team up to down your way?

Cold turkey bud. I've never been a "cheat meal" kinda guy, although some people do i and hey if it works go for it. I normally use the Saturday night and Sunday after a show as my "cheat", heck, you deserve it by then anyway! It fills the muscles, and lets the body know "It's OK body, you aren't dying, here is some food" and it puts me back on track again. I find if I indulge any other time, it puts me back 3 days as my body rejects the food and I retain water. It's that feeling of a couple of slabs of rump steak has been slapped on my lower back. Ergh!

Ah, we seem to be ticking along down here, about time we finally have some good weather (touch wood). Haven't had an idea of numbers for our HB show yet, but it's still a few months away (July 10)

Cheers

Grego
