That was a solid bang as he hit that pole.

I realise that there are risks in every sport, but that was harsh.

True, but I wondered because I didn't see any on a guy in a picture I checked, not because I thought it might have saved him. Just tights and an Atom Ant helmet. Very bare. I'd do it. Fucken thrill of a lifetime 8)

On a more positive note remember this goodie from Speedskater Steve Bradbury. This is still rated as one of the greatest sporting moments. He only just made the final due to a fall and was hopelessly out gunned in the final and then what happens......
