Hi everyone, just a quick update. Only 4 weeks to go so start getting your tan base on, beef up those mandatory poses & get your aerobic routine sorted. We have a great show coming up in Christchurch supported by a team of 5 officials from NABBA/WFF Australia & another 15 from Auckland, Tauranga, Napier, Wellington, Nelson & Christchurch. We are fielding lots of questions from competitors about judging criteria, categories, costumes, accommodation etc. NABBA divisions are starting to fill up with some interesting "surprises". Look out for Miss Figure which should be an awesome contest. WFF is proving to be even more popular & should be well represented in most categories.

Watch out for the "Tanman" who will be promoting the Kabakoff Range of Tanning Products which are much more user (& hotel  ) friendly using a lanolin based product that is absorbed into the skin & much easier to clean up.

Also being organised is an after party down at Kaikanui Hotel 200m from the venue where there will be some complimentary refreshments & food provided. More on that soon :P

Cheers,

mnz

Nabba/WFF NZ would like to take this time to thank everyone for their assistance, kind words and their fantastic support for the upcoming Inaugural Christchurch Grand Prix. From over 20 sponsors through to our support networks, our "family" in Christchurch have achieved so much in such a short time. It seems like only yesterday - that there were whispers of a new exciting federation coming to New Zealand, and now with only four weeks remaining it has come to fruition. We know that this show will be one that will have competitors at the forefront, and we are there purely for them.

In saying this, we would also like to send a huge thank you to another one of our many supporters SeriousTeenBodybuilding, one of many contributors who have kindly assisted by way of fantastic shirts - thank you so much guys. Furthermore, there are some fabulous goodie bags for our competitors - these are our gifts to you all, and our way of saying thank you

Four more weeks - not long now. Again, thank you all for your continued support.

It's fantastic that you are keeping everyone informed as to what is happening.

The internet is the tool of today and it seems you have the ability to use it to help keep everyone informed. Looks like an exciting competition and hopefully the competitors support it.

Hi again. Just like to post up our official panel of judges for the Christchurch Grand Prix Champs. We are very pleased to have on board a very experienced & professional team that will ensure that competitors are judged at the highest international standard in line with NABBA International & WFF criteria. This will enable any athlete that is selected to go through to NABBA World Championships & WFF Universe Championships to be confident that they can stand up on an international stage & have a right & an ability to be there. Additionally, it will give every competitor a standard with NABBA/WFF to work towards.

David Boscaglia - Australia (International Judge) ( Head Judge)

Blair Loveday - Australia (National Judge)

Brian McNichol - Australia (Para Olympian & Judge)

Missy Ann Hawkins - Napier

Mark Anderson - Nelson

Gary Jones - Auckland

Leanne Grindrod-Simays - Auckland

Alex Simays - Auckland

We will also be running a NABBA/WFF Judges Qualification Course on Fri 30 April for anyone interested in obtaining qualifications for officiating at ongoing events. Also as part of our Australian Team of officials will be Graeme Lancefield Australian & International President NABBA/WFF & Phil Muscat who will be Backstage Manager. To all the NABBA-WFF competitors doing the May 1st comp and are looking for the Tanning products by Phil Kabakoff Tanning Products that are used in all the Australian bodybuilding shows, you can get it off me before I come down to CHCH or get it of me on the Friday. As we all know the right tan will give you that winning edge. He is a brief description of the tanning products

CONTEST COLOUR Foaming Mousse is a fast and effective way to apply your competition tan. Simply pump out the rich foam onto a large make-up sponge or similar and apply to your skin, following the contours of the body.

CONTEST COLOUR FOAMING MOUSSE has added ALOE VERA, reported to help moisturize and tighten the skin, CHAMOMILE extract for its skin calming

.

ORIGINAL CONTEST COLOUR has an Acetone solvent base, which will eliminate natural oils from the skin. This helps to obtain the best keying (hold) by the product, but has a drying effect on the skin. Should you suffer from a dry skin problem, it is recommended to try the CONTEST COLOUR Acetone Solvent Free.

BODY SHIMMER is a ready to apply instant tan, designed to be applied prior to your contest. It spreads easily over the body and washes off with soap and water.

BODY SHIMMER is made in Australia from the finest hypoallergenic ingredients. This may be the only tanning product you wish to use. Although this can be done, it is not recommended for the best results. As a guide the lighter your skin the more base tan you will require.

TAN MASTER is a ready to apply instant tan, designed to be applied prior to your contest or photo shoot. It spreads easily over the body and washes off with soap and water.

TAN MASTER is made in Australia from the finest hypoallergenic ingredients.

This may be the only tanning product you wish to use.

Although this can be done, it is not recommended for the best results.

As a guide the lighter your skin the more base tan you will require.

Use products such as CONTEST COLOUR, TAN MASTER will allow you to control the depth of tan you need for the lighting requirements. When applied correctly TAN MASTER will give you a complete colour, with a great finish.

All sounds really organised... awesome work guys, you have done an amazing job in getting this all set up. Would be the most organised I have seen of a show, with everybody kept up to date with whats happening. Do you accept enteries on the day? or is there a close off date like in Aussie? With so many classes offered are the classes going to be very big?

Tks Maree for your support. I guess we are not going to turn anyone down that fronts up for registration on the Friday 6pm at Gymeez in Manchester Street, CHC City, but it would be much better to be organised as a competitor if possible. There will be some merging of classes I expect but we intend advising the audience where this happens so that there is no confusion on the day. Will try & give a better indication of numbers closer to the day. Looking forward to catching up again soon.

In acknowledgement of tough times & the expense of travelling around the country to compete in bodybuilding competitions, we would like to advise any competitor competing at the CHC Grand Prix, that Membership Registration ($50) into NABBA/WFF will not be payable until 1 July for the 2010 current year. However, we urge competitors to get their show Entry Form ($80) in as soon as possible to help us get the structure & format of the show in place. We don't want anyone to miss out, so please contact one of the Organising Team if you have any problems. We will do our very best to accommodate your needs as we are a very competitor friendly federation. Tks, mnz

What a great idea, indeed helping the athlete. As we all know competing does come at a huge cost. I was in Wellington today with work and managed to catch up with Neralee. OMG! She has packed on quite a bit of muscle to when I saw her compete end of last year. She is looking awesome, very lean and muscley. I couldnt believe that she will be doing figure! What a huge difference in federations if that is figure. I guess with this been the first of this federation in NZ, will you be guiding people to select an appropiate class to enter? Is not far a way now, very exciting for both competitors and spectators.

With only two weeks and three days remaining until the Nabba/WFF Christchurch show there are some great names that will be attending and competing. No doubt all the ladies and gents will be training and dieting harder than ever now in the lead up to this show.

We are looking forward in seeing everyone there and cannot wait for the day to arrive

Ok Guys & Gals 2 weeks to go to the Christchurch Grand Prix Champs on Sat May 1st. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

We have to report that Mark Ryan promoter of Max's Southern Hemisphere Champs in Southport, Gold Coast this year to be held on June 6th, is attending our show & is looking for potential "Glamour Girls" to compete for a prize of AU$5000 cash at his show. The CHC Team is hoping to be able to offer return airfares to this event if selected from the CHC Show, finances permitting. What a great incentive for our Sports Models to step out in their bikini & evening wear & make this category in WFF a great success. More info available from our Team Members.

Additionally, we may be looking to support a New Zealand Team to attend Graeme Lancefields's International Show in Melbourne on May 23rd. Athletes again will be selected from those competing at the CHC Grand Prix.

It makes the whole day run much smother for both the athletes and the organisers if we can have these in a week before a show,

From your entries we are able to have the registration organised and streamlined, we are able to get formulate a running order, order specific trophies

Registration = please remember that registration/weigh in is at Gymeez sports 62 Manchester st at 6 pm on the Friday before the show. This is compulsory, and will give us the final running order for the show, If (due to flights etc) your not going to make the registration please make sure I know this and have your music and entry prior to then thanks

NABBA-WFF NZ

As a start-up non profit organisation we have not put in-place a formal structured executive committee as we feel that a democratic vote and open forum for this appropriate so at the time of our National Champs on the 2nd of October in CHCH we will be holding a formal meeting where nominated candidates will be voted on for all official positions (chairperson, treasure secretary etc) as well as the voting process an open discussion will be entered into by all members about the way forward for competitions in NZ,

Members unable to attend will be given the chance to vote via email!

???? Could you please clarify a few questions I have.

1. Is this a World Qualifier for NABBA and WFF

2. Are you only funding the Aus shows

3. Do athletes get selected for the WORLD events at this show or have they been selected already?

4. How come on the NABBA International site you do not register as the NZ rep

5. If an athlete pays there registration 1 july 2010 then they would not be current members of NABBA and could not compete at the Worlds

6. I was under the impression that this organisation was set up specifically to support athletes for the worlds and universe shows, has this changed to filling up the aus shows?

7. Are you going to fund the Aus trip or just making noise, if so it should be stated clearly that at the end of the show a ticket will be produced

8. $80 dollars is a huge entry fee even for a cheap bag and t/shirt.

9. Good luck with your show

You obviously don't have the energy to read the posts. It has been stated many times this is a qualifier for the World's so athletes don't have to go to Aussie to qualify. If there are funds I am sure they will help but that is not the main purpose of the show.

I have paid $100 to enter an Australian show and it includes a DVD of the show. This usually costs $45 alone. I have also paid $45 twice in 3 4 weeks to join NZFBB because of there stupid rules.

It sounds like you are a bitter false Nabba supporter hoping things will fail.

At least there will World's to compete in that won't be cancelled at the last moment.

wow these are all questions that may or may not have been answered, I thought this was a forum to ask questions.

Not a bitter whatever.

You get defensive with straight questions get used to it you the main people who run this show.

If you are dumb enough to pay 100 dollars to enter an aus show good for you.

As to my original questions I shall ask MuscleNZ as he is one of the organisers by the way it not very professional hand clapping as a main executive Muscle when you get asked questions about your organisation :naughty:

Agent86 you stick to supporting australia.
