Hi folks,

Wow, glad to have found this site!

A little about me.. I grew up in Southern California.. yea, I know.. The OC :pfft: Came down to NZ in 1989, fell in love with the place.. and a wonderful Kiwi of the female persuasion.. We got married, moved back to California.. with goal in mind to settle back down here someday.. Well, after having kids and 911, the time was ripe, so we cashed up, moved on down June 2003.. Now living in hills above Christchurch and loving it!

Started lifting weights at age 16.. Always for sport: Baseball, Football (gridiron), Wrestling, Powerlifting etc. Never competed "Bodybuilding". Just turned 40 yrs.. and decided to give amateur bodybuilding a go..

Luckily have good thick mature muscle from all this lifting.. especially the heavy stuff... Now, just have to make it "look good"

Targetting contest next year.. Haven't decided which code yet (NABBA or NZFBB).. but maybe with some friendly advice, that choice might be easier. I did, however, attend NABBA show here in ChCh in September and thoroughly enjoyed it.. Much more laid back than the OC Muscle Classic in California! and looked fun.. which is most important.. so leaning that way at the moment.

Anyway, look forward to meeting some of you here..

Cheers-

Bohawk

Hey thanks everyone,

Good to be here.

Pseudo, thanks for the discussion link.

On the NZFBB site, it says that you cannot be a member of any other bodybuilding federation. Would that preclude you from entering both a NABBA and NZFBB contest? Interestingly, it appears that the NABBA does not have any condition.

Does anyone have any intel on this?

Thanks-
