Generally I have 2 peices of vogel for breakfast, but will admit that is rear! Then a vogal salad sandwhich for lunch with a peice of fruit, then maybe something else for arvo tea like ummm, dreadedly like a honey sandwhich, cause i crave for somethings sweet! then I go to the gym authough sometimes I go to the gym in the morning so I dont have anything till lunch, then at nite I occasionally a peice of meat with vegies - no carbs and then sometimes cereal for later! I know it's prob bad meals but yeah I just cant tink of anything that isnt carb related that excites me and is easy and quick to make - I live alone so generally cant b arsed! lol

Theres two problems right there. Stop skipping breakfast, eating breakfast kickstarts your metabolism for the day. What do you have on your vogels? Honey? Try a nice big bowl of oats. :)

If you cant be arsed then losing fat is probably not gonna happen. You gotta put in a bit of effort.

You have a salad sandwich for lunch? Why not just a salad?

Ok... even without knowing height/weight, it would appear there's too much carbs, not enough protein.... but you probably already know that.

And, you already know that skimping on breakfast is bad... it's called "break fast" for a reason - you've not been eating since you went to bed, and your body has been fasting overnight, and now it needs food. So, breakfast is vital.

And cereal late at night - a complete fat-builder.... not a good idea. The body's about to slow down, so all those calories will be stock-piled on hips and thighs.

But the biggest point is in your last sentence. If you don't believe that you're worth preparing proper meals for, that has to change - otherwise no amount of sweat will get you the results you want.

Clearly, you're motivated, you spend time in the gym. Spend some of that time on your food prep.

For quick hints, consider investing in a George Foreman grill or one of these Breville grills - you can knock out cooked chicken breasts in eight minutes, steaks in four. While they're cooking, put some salad on a plate.

For other protein meals, have a look in the diet/nutrition sub-tab for recipes for eg protein sludge.

Get a cooler bag, I have a back-pack type one so I can walk to work with it, it makes it easier to carry. Shove hot things in a thermos and cold things in the cooler bag -it becomes instant food that you can eat anywhere!

Get a cooler bag
...and some Glad handy containers... a day's food, prepared the night before and chucked in the fridge, will stay cool and fresh.

I got a bag from the Warehouse - even has a separate place for a drink bottle... did we nag you about drinking enough water, even on non-workout days.

As for it being hard - pre-preparing the food makes it so much easier to eat clean, and once you get into good habits it's second nature. For instance, tonight while I was watching TV I was running some chicken and steak through the breville, cooking some rice to have cold and chopping fresh vegies. That'll give me several days worth of ingredients sitting in the fridge. Then it's just a case of "a little of this, a little of that", into the glad containers first thing in the morning, and away ya go!

Very tru! Might give that 'take with ya' a go?! authough, hahah again prob with my job, I dont just stay in 1 place i go from place to place so I cant really take any big bags etc cause I go nowhere 2 put it!! I just live with my 'shite' in my pockets until I get home

Could anyone suggest a good weekly food plan? so I can follow the instructions and then i'll get use to things and go from there!?

These bags aren't that big. Vee's back-pack idea's a good one, my one from the Warehouse isn't huge either. But, ya got to believe it's worth doing. Otherwise, you'll 'forget' or stop at the dairy 'just in case'... and kaboom, sabotage!

Some other details might help.

Q) How often do you go to the gym, what do you do, and how hard-out do you go?

Q) What do you want to achieve?

You don't have to go hard core on your diet to see results. Just introducing breakfast, knocking out the honey sandwich, and bringing in some protein shakes will make a huge difference. The problem is, if you start off hard and fast, it won't last. Also its good if you only change a couple of things first, see what results you get in two weeks, then change some more. You get a really good gauge on what works and what doesn't.

Keep up posted.

Can you please clarify whether you're not allowed to carry a bag, or you're too lazy to carry a bag? A chick can fit a days eating into a small handbag sized cooler bag. It will keep your food fresh all day. A good thermos will keep food/liquid warm all day. If your issue is motivation, you're your own worst enemy. We can't change your mindset or come prep your food in advance for you. It sounds like you're looking for excuses to fail. Or you're trolling.

Iron pills will only work if you're deficient in iron. Even then, iron deficiency isn't usually treated with over the counter supplements.

I live alone and still organise my meals. Sounds like you really don't want to put in any effort or thought into your goals. I also am on the road doing jobs so have easy to eat things carried in a container in the back of my car.

There are things you can cook the night before like protein pancakes. Try canned tuna or Salmon, canned beans, protein shakes.

Sounds like you are not really motivated to get what you want.

It all sounds like a lot of excuses to me too. I used to eat perfectly well when I lived alone and don't see that as an excuse for not bothering. Same with all the excuses for not having some lunch with you. Surely it's illegal to not be allowed a lunch break?
