Muscle pump

OK so,

Have tried:

Superpump up to 3 scoops and had a 5 minute window of really good weight lift - no muscle pump, no mental focus, huge tiredness in afternoon.

Jacked - up to 2 scoops and had a 1 minute buzz and jelly legs, no increase in weights, no muscle pump, no mental focus, but sweated heaps more.

Rampage - when doing cardio, good for a pep but dies off really quick.

Anyone out there know of anywhere where I could samples of something else which might help for that pre-workout focus and muscle pump, and increase in weight lift. Im sick of forking out for stuff that doesnt work for me.

Cheers

hrrrm, if that aint working, perhaps your only alternative is strait speed.

those are the top pre workout supps youve listed.

them and NO shotgun.

if you tell yourself you feel nothing, you wont feel nothing, even though your probably buzzing your ass off.

same with any stimulant...

what do you want to achieve from a pre workout supp??

be as high as a kite and be able to lift what youve never lifted before?

hav cardio like never before?

its not a miracle cure thatl get you boosting, its the wee umph you need to kickstart your training and to help maintain it...not make the training a breeze.

I spose you're right in one way .. actually to be honest I do go in with a positive attitude toward the supplement and try to focus, but the lift or mental agility is not there. Not talking about jumping from 25kg to 50kg and expecting that to work but gradual increases.

Marketing of these products talk about muscle pump and blah blah blah, but I dont seem to get that...

What Im trying to ask are are there those out there that have had the same problem, and what (if it all) they did anything about in order to get that extra umph (since they ones Ive tried obviously dont work for me).

Have been down the strait speed way and apart from the cardio buzz nothing much else.

Was taking Super Pump but have run out - no problems taking that - I rate it. Pretty much tried everything out there that is on the market. There is some great stuff - and alot of crap as well.

Top of my list - Musclemeds - currently taking this - wicked pumps with Enoxide - 10 minutes prior to training and you're ready to rock 'n' roll. Also from Musclemeds - Arimatest - and Hexagen - these are great - give them a go - can't speak highly enough of them

Gaspari - always good products - have tried the whole lot - including the original Haladrol in the pill form - this was wicked - I liked it more than capsule form though. Plasmajet is good as well - but having to take 10 pills or whatever, is too much for me to throw down my gob - but as I said before - its also a good product.

BSN - Good protein RTD's are great - not overly fussed on the NoXplode - it gave me the initial buzz and pump during training - but a bit of a prick to mix - not overly fussed if they resell it in NZ again or not - can take it or leave it.

No problems with muscle pump at all with any of the above products. However, everyone is different and they don't react the same - but its important to give them a go - even though it may mean you're forking out a shitload of money for it. Hey, I'd rather spend $100 - $200 on good quality supps - some people spend that amount of money drinking booze in the weekends and end up with a big bloody hangover and someone in their bed that they wouldn't even have looked twice at if they were sober!!! Ewww!

Yea maybe the problem isn't the supps. You should be able to train hard and focus without needing any sort of pick me up. Any of those supps should only further increase whats already there. If you lack motivation and focus to start with you wont find the cure in a cleverly packaged caffiene/creatine blend.

That said you could just respond to caffeine badly or one of the other ingredients they put in those supplements.

Hey everyone thanks for all your good advice.

Have been training oh naturel, but one day while doing Les Mills Pump damaged my rotator cuff and had to take it easy, after some time because i was gripping the weights too hard I developed tennis elbow - well this is what the physio told me.

I spose I just felt a bit deflated not being able to push the weights I had been and then (even though Im not a 100% convinvced) decided to see if supplements would help me in pushing through that plateau, and got caught inthat vicious cycle of wanting to be able to do this overnight - but like all things I have to keep reminding myself slow and steady is better.

So after sleeeping on it and thinking about what you all said will devise a plan of attack and stick to it. Cheers again

from my free samples

controlled labs, white flood, that worked great.

double t no beta = alright

double t creadyl = fail

a few more samples that were so uneventful i forgot thier names after throwing the packaging out.

musclepharm assault = best by far

my last sample to try is noxplode, and it seems thats one of the better ones, i plan to compare this with muscle pharm assault

before all this, some amino acids (xtend), creatine and glucose have got me a pretty good pump

thats all i could say about supps

but as most of nzbb has said it could be the type of exercise your doing, I only find i get the best pump hitting reps above 8, and supersetting/pyramid'ing really putting your muscles to work

gl with your shoulder, i know how that feels.
