How are these high heels different from your run of the mill high heels?

They typically have a clear heel, like what strippers use. They're also usually about 5" so higher than most heels.

Yah - why are the heels stripper-esque? What's the deal? Is it because the height makes you stand a certain way so your muscles flex more?

That's my guess. And why a clear heel? Seriously mystifying to me.

The hooker shoes are hellish expensive, think I paid $180 for mine ex USA, but worth every penny. They come in either 5 or 6inch but are incredibly stable for such a tall shoe and very supportive. The clear heel gives the illusion of having long legs (cause afterall, figure is all about creating illusion). When you see girls wearing block heels its amazing how it cuts your leg length in comparison to girls with the clear ones, the other thing thats a no no, is the ankle strap, to be avoided.
