Cannot read private messages

Hi there

I am new to this site and seem to be having a bit of trouble getting to my private messages.

I click on the link and then it tells me that i am not authorised to read them, even though i am logged in.

Suggestions?

I think the Mods have changed things so you need to make 10 posts before you can send or get PM's? :?

Yep, they did, to eliminate the "silent spam"

There's now a minimum post count new members have to reach before they can use the PM function. That at least gives the mods a chance to catch the buggers before they can send out silent spam like this.

Ah yes. Having turned off PMs for new users, they won't be able to read their automatic welcome message. I hadn't considered that. You fix one thing, and it breaks another. D'oh! :doh:

Anyway, the problem is sorted now. Lil Miss, welcome to the forums. You should be able to read your PM now. Hope it lives up to the anticipation!
