i was thinking this today, and every time i see MASSIVE guys.

im always stumped at how inefficient they are at just day to day things.

got to eat ALL day, at a co$t.

train all the time.

get puffed when walking to the shop! lol

heres a list i swiped from another site.

bit of a laugh.

please, add your own!!!

CONS:

Having twice as much washing because my boxers and t-shirts get soaked in sweat

Being achey and tired

Having to workout when I feel rough

Having to workout when I want one more go on Halo 3

People thinking they can punch me in the stomach as hard as they like and it won't hurt - monsters have feelings too!

My ego making me let people punch me in the stomach as hard as they like even though it hurts and maybe makes me vomit a little

Everyone wanting to arm-wrestle me even though I have a bad wrist

Accidentally breaking stuff when I'm angry

The cost of training supplements, gym membership, training equipment etc

Girls who go 'eewwww gross!!!'

Accusations of steroid abuse

Having to pass up on a second choc-chip cookie

Being the first guy asked to lift heavy things. Just because I can lift heavy things does not mean I wish to do it all the time.

E-mails from my website from crazy people

Guys who say 'I used to look like you' - no you didn't!

Being made to take my top off at parties... ah okay I sort of like that one...

People asking for training routines and advice and then not doing it...

Not being able to scratch my back even a little bit

Being introduced like so: 'This is Adam - look at his biceps!'. That's not all I'm good for!

People assuming you must be dumb and vain - I am only vain

People trying to prove themselves by attacking you verbally

Not being able to afford the amount of food I need to eat

Being thirsty all the time

When people don't know what to say so they try to make conversation by asking how much you bench

Needing to go to the toilet all the time

Being thirsty all the time

PROS:

Winning at sports, events and activities that I don't really understand and wouldn't stand a chance at otherwise

Being able to do cool party tricks like walking on my hands and opening tuna caps with one hand

Gaining automatic respect, at least until they get to know me

Taking my top off as a last resort attempt to pull

Being (marginaly for a man of my stature and grinny nature) more imposing

Having my own website

Once being the subject of a University media studies student's dissertation project and being followed around school and the gym by cameras

E-mails from my website from attractive ladies

Giving awesome dead arms

Never struggling with a jam jar (also helpful that I don't really eat jam)

Being able to climb stuff

Relaxing after a workout with numb limbs and a rush of hormones

Being able to push people over

Having lots of energy

Being able to eat much more meat!

Being called 'big guy' (despite the afformentioned slight stature) and 'Arnie'

Catching myself in the mirror and thinking 'man I look good'

The camaraderie in the gym

Being able to think 'if I met Batman, we'd have stuff in common'

The challenge

The sense of purpose

Being a member of the Iron Brotherhood. Come on, how cool is that?

CONS

-getting accused of wearing a tight shirt when really its a large

that happened to me just the other day. I said 'well try it on if it would make you just that little bit more secure'

This was met with all the rest of the bullshet, tall poppy, bring a guy down speel.

I tend to laugh these kind of things off at the time but in reality its pretty insulting. Its people directly trying to bring you down because they cant be bothered making a change.

If i ever dont go to the gym because of chump talk, then the suckas of the world have won. what i get from training is worth far more than stopping due to copping constant flak from people.

My resolve only gets harder with each comment.

...Not being able to scratch my back even a little bit...

I hate this con the most! I'm not all that big yet, but enough already to make scratching my own back impossible

...

Being able to think 'if I met Batman, we'd have stuff in common'

:pfft: :pfft: :pfft: Like it!

Pro:

Finding my arms are stretching the sleeves of my favorite shirts

Con:

Finding I have to buy a new suit because the sleeves don't stretch on suit jackets

Fark I feel you on that one,. Ive grown out of 3 suits in just over 1.5 years, thats like 6 grand. And each time i tell myself "I'll be right - this one will last"

-Cons Getting shit from the girls in offiice cause my suits practically skin tight .

Pro (I think) having bigger clevage then some of the office chicks, and making them awear of this.

People asking for training routines and advice and then not doing it...

Oh man, this one really grinds my gears! I've lost count of the amount of my mates (and work colleagues) who have come up asking me to help them get started/give some advice etc, and I put a bit of thought into it to help them out... then have them not do anything about it :x I think the only one who has actually followed advice I've given is my brother, and he's doing really well, so that gives me a little bit of pride :)

Ok, add to the list, hmmm:

Cons:

*Being asked; "how much do you lift?" and people not realizing that it's a really, really general question. How many potatoes, shopping bags, or dwarves? Ohhhh you mean BB curlz!

*People assuming you are short on intelligence because you have muscles. Stereotyping FTL.

Pros:

*Just feeling so. God. Damned. Good about yourself after you come away from a weights session beat up and everything is sore. I sit back, sack a protein shake and think: "This is the life"

*Looking in the mirror and seeing abs 8)

I'm not into body building, but love working out so take this how you want it... This is what I think of body builders

Pros-

- your a big ass mother who everyone stares at in the gym

- you make people jelous sometimes

- your intimidting

- your always working out and live healthy lifestyles

- you eat lots

Cons-

- you can't walk properly because your thighs are too big

- some people at the gym think your a complete dooche

- you check yourself out in the mirror waaaaay too much

- you suck at cardio if your too big and little girls could probably beat you in any endurance event

- you have to eat lots

- DOMS

- you have to spend heaps on food and protein stuff

- your diet is very restrictive and from what I've seen, you eat the same stuff over and over rather than a variety
