Home made mass gainer- Feedback needed

This is what im using PWO

50-60g WPC

8oz milk(sometimes 6oz milk an 2oz water)

1/4 cup oats

2 spoons nesquik

4g Creatine mono

Going to swap the nesquik for dextrose next week. Say 20g?

Oats make it taste like shit, what else could i use?

Some times i add flax seed oil, makes it taste shit again. Peanut butter makes it taste rank also. Need to add something with good fats i think.

I would suggest flaxseed that is a good fat to use plus it is not all that expensive to buy.I buy a 2kg of flaxseed plus it last me for three or four mounths.I would ditch the creatine mono because it is very hard to mix plus it taste like ass and overall it is a waste of money but I would effervescent creatine made by balance which comes in two nice flavours orange rush which taste very nice and the other flavour is lemion lime puch which are easy to mix

So go seed over oil?

Got a few hundred grams of mono left so will use that up. Magic bullet takes care of mixing. Need to play around and see if it makes a difference for me though.

add some calories to it in the form of more oats or some wheatgerm say a 1/2 cup of each, throw in a few scoops of icecream which might as well be double choc and park ya self up a knock over 1/2 a deep fried chook and 1/2 a loaf of wholemeal bread. Use the shake to wash it down with. :nod:

repeat 5 times a day for 1 year :nod:

MEGA MILK IS WHAT MEN DRINK!

Wheatgerm...hmmm that may be a go. May try icecream later down the track. Still trying to get used to such big meals again!

I usually try and cram in 3/4 cup of oats 1hr before workouts.

I go through 1/3 of a loaf a day at the moment.

How much dextrose boys?

Don't be afraid to use it mate.After workout your muscles are begging gor it.That is a very well known rule and it goes like Carbs 0.8gr/kg and Protein 0.4gr/kg.Now as you're trying to make your own mass gainer things might be different so ...

With that rule im over doing the protein then...

I'm not saying you can't have that amount of protein but I personally wouldn't take 60 gr at once... :D

bro, thats bollox. especially when protein is consumed with fat, which slows absorbtion. most succesful bulkers on here will tell you that you can rarely get too much protein. but if you shourtchange your protein based on some figure you got somewhere, you could be selling short your gains. look at people (big units) taking 500-600 grams protein ED. do you think that its half wasted???

op, after training take a double shot of protein, some high gi carbs if you wish, and be satisfied youve given your body what its crying out for. dont sweat gram per gram protein, worst case scenario you piss some out.

but hey, im happy to piss out protein - cos that means my body is getting all the pro it needs/can handle :grin:

not trying to take sides here, but ur saying that u dont mind paying extra for protein even if it doesnt get used by the body? faark ur money must grow on trees. i would eat more protein if i could afford it

Bro what I meant is if you wanna bulk you can and should eat tons of protein but split into your daily meals.You should have notice that I mentioned the word 'personally' I wouldn't take 60 grams of protein post workout at once and thats because my method is different than yours, everyone has a different method.I take good supplements pre,during and post workout wich is the key for bulking.I don't simply lift weights for like an hour braking down all tissues and using own muscle for energy and then eat a ton afterwards...I do it differently and have always had success like that...My calorie intake is 4000kcal/day from real food and on workout days I count on good supplementation...so thats what i'm trying to say...

fair enough here, i think alot of people who do do it would be interested in hearing of this 'supplementation'?? care to elaborate brah?

im sure op could see i wasnt suggesting fat postworkout, merely giving an example of how you can take a larger than normal amount of protein, and not have to piss it out. And who suggested midday dextrose? not me!?

as for me pissing it out, f*ck yes! how do you really, really know that your body cant take anymore protein in? i dont have a guage on my ass telling me when im full. and i didnt mean going overboard, but lets face it - a double shot of pro postworkout isnt gonna harm him at all. have a read in the journals mate, or look up threads on post-training nutrition. if hes training intensely, his body will absorb that doubleshot like you are absorbing my post.

op will do what he wants, but his initial plan looks solid to me - almost identical to mine last year, and i gained heaps.jan-72kg.may85kg.july76kg.october89kg. peace brah.
