This isn't newly-released information, but you may not have seen it before...

From 1 July 2003 to 30 June 2004, the NZSDA tested 1517 athletes. Of these, 2% were bodybuilders.

Nine of the athletes tested positive for banned substances. Of these, 30% were bodybuilders.

You know, I've always thought those wheelchair rugby players were a shifty-looking bunch... :pfft:

BREAKING NEWS...

I just got the figures for this latest year (ending June 2005). Of 1519 athletes tested, 40 (2.6%) were bodybuilders. Overall, there were 17 athletes that tested positive.

Any guesses what percentage of these positives were bodybuilders? I have a photo of a dollar for the person with the closest answer.

(If you already know the answer, don't give it away)

Come on now... is a photograph of a dollar not incentive enough? It's a colour photo, and I promise the dollar is legal tender!

Jeez, you guys drive a hard bargain! Tell you what, I'll throw in a NZBB t-shirt too - it's from the new season's collection, and I hear all the cool bodybuilders are wearing them. :grin:

OK... I was waiting to see if there were any more guesses. But time's up!

Of the 17 positive tests for the year ending June 2005, 7 of the athletes were bodybuilders. If my maths is right, that's 41.2%.

That puts Varven closest with his guess of 43%. Well done, sir. Here's your photo of a dollar as promised. Spend it wisely. :grin:
