Gidday all,

I have been weight training on and off for quite a few years but really only got serious about trying to put on a bit of size in the last 12 months. I have a degree in Physical Education, 2/3 of a degree in biochemistry (novelty wore off I guess!) but have spent the last couple of years working as a software developer.

Firstly, thank you for all the welcomes. This really does seem like a friendly place to hang out! I'm currently living in Hastings but just spent 3 months living/working in London. Training-wise I am simply trying to gain mass. I've gained about 8 kg in the last 2 months. Not all muscle I am sure but a reasonably percentage based on appearance. However I am still only 96kg at 5ft 11 so I have a fair way to go compared to a lot of the other members of the forum!

In the last 2 years of my degree I took a couple of exercise physiology papers. Part of the requirements for these involved a personal study on any topic we chose. For both years I worked on one, on the physiological and biochemical changes that occur as a result of progressive resistance exercise. Hopefully this means I will be able to provide some information of some use to a few forum members at some point.
