:)

sadly i am not a word smith like some on here.

I wasn't trying to imply that they were boring merely that all those big words and terms were tiring my puny little mind.

I shall attempt to refrain from making uninformed, unintellectual comments.

but no promises

Yes they were factual and interesting , please continue posting such articles so that us lessor mortals can learn more. Which is after all one of the reasons we are on here.

Sleep...Important!

I remember a wise Pro :pfft: telling me how he knew another "pro" who while on a bulk would sleep upto 16 hours a day and this Mofo would grow like weeds.

Had a few weeks of training and 6hours sleep is fine for me, back into training hard this week...thought i could get away with 6hours still=epic fail. I am fucked! You need sleep and I don't wake in the night either Musclenz before you ask (i sort myself out before i sleep :pfft: )

Someone will know this one...After how many hours of sleep does your body release the GH? I thought it was around the 5 hour mark.

Wuz up

GH secretion occurs around the first 45 minutes-1 hour of DEEP sleep. It reaches its best levels around the 2 hour ahead and then decreases as time goes by.

8 or 9 hours! sounds great

Actually I find that if i do manage to sleep that much i usually wake up with a head ache,

normal max sleep i get per night is 7 hours, just can't sleep much longer

Last night for example went to sleep 10pm, wide awake at 3am!

Turned light on told missus its dawn! hahaha, but even that which usually guarantees sleep for me afterwards, nah still wide awke.

so up at 345 , brekkie and off to work, won't feel guilty going to gym today!

I had the same episode going with myself.Problem is that during the day sometimes you find yourself thinking:''Damn i needed to sleep well last night! I feel like didn't recover properly''.

Until I learn something really good that worked great for me,if you wanna try...

First you set you alarm to a certain hout every day.No matter what time you fall asleep when you hear your alarm just punch it, brake it or whatever but don't turn back and sleep, jump out of the bed, that way you educate your brain that this is the time you have to be awake.

Second you don't go to bed until you're sleepy.Hang around,tv,computer(porn for instance :pfft: )a book, something that might make you feel sleepy.Only when you feel like your eyes can't even stay open then you go to bed.By doing that you will educate yourself with the right timing and hours of sleep. The first couple of days might suck but it pays off.People cure insomnia by doing that.Try and see, it worked great for me

Cheers

Just reading an article about sleep, lack of sleep reduces the body's ability to process glucose and therefore produce energy. It also heightens levels of cortisol which attacks muscle tissue and must be suppressed for tissue repair post workout to occur. Human growth hormone which rebuilds tissue post exercise requires sleep for full activation. 8 hours sleep is considered the standard. Interesting eh.
