Hey there I know there must be a few people that have had there appendix removed.

Got mine taken out on the 21st of Dec. Was f**kn sore ay lol.

Well how long do you reckon before going back to gym? They told me 6 weeks no heavy lifting

took me a week before i could stand up straight again... before i could so anything it was 3 weeks. so i would say test your self out after 4 weeks and go from there - any less than that and the internal stitches wont have done there job...

if the doctors said 6 weeks, then u shud stay away from the gym for 6 weeks, they know their shit

Yeah I agree with rest, take your time. Sometimes it depends with your body. I also had an OP recently too, bladder stone removed. Recovered fully after 4 weeks and fit to go back to the gym. So take Doc's advise and rest as much as you feel you need to. All the best mate, wish you a speedy recovery!

ok thanks. yea it really sucks ive lost quite abit of muscle already but yeah ill regret it if i rush into things. Im sure some exercises will not harm that area though. Im sick of being a handicap i broke my knee cap back in august and that took awhile my legs are very skinny now lol.

ok haha na im just unlucky, lol i had to get 5 stitches in my arm a couple weeks before my knee too

Yea good advice all round. I had a client with an amazingly high pain threshold, she wouldn't listen to me or the Doc, started doing too much too soon at home (I refused to train her at that stage) and had to be operated on twice more to clear some nasty infection. Sometimes your body doesn't tell you what you are experiencing internally and there will be alot of mending to be done before you can start pushing weights around. The upside is, you will come back so motivated and the strength will return pretty quickly. Good luck.
