Where to buy PL gear

I really like the sleeves for training bro. The beauty of them is that you can leave them on and just adjust the velcro to tighten and release between sets. Knee wraps are more powerlifting specific and and generally used on top sets. Both have there place and it depends on where your focus is.

I am a big fan of the elbow sleeves too.

and that would be for the same reasons yeah?

how accurate do you find the sizings mate?

a little unsure about band sizes for a piwikiwi like me but thinking 50-80lb would be a good start and cater for most exercises

Yeah bro same reasons. Thinking about protecting the elbows also.

I went for a size bigger than they suggested and they work well. I just tighten a bit more. I have XXL and I'm 20 odd KGs smaller than you. :)

I haven't looked at their bands but I find the mini band and the next one up (red- unsure of tension) as the most used in the gym. That said, we tend to use the bigger sizes for squatting and deadlifting a lot. A full set of bands is a good investment. It might pay to check with Steve Thompson at getstrength as he does stock bands.

As Dr Squat said Steak,go and see Steve at Getstrength in penrose. Its worth a visit just for the hell of it as steve or any of the team there are happy to talk strength training and give you free advice all day long, and there knowledge on the subject is amoungst the best in the country.

Ive dropped in there before and seen seminars being held by one of australasias top strength coaches.

You could PM Tonka as well as he imports alot of gear for sale, and if you go and see him he can fit you for it, and suggest what he thinks would be best for your particular body.

EFS has just released some short bands so you don't have to double them up for deadlifts or benching. I'm thinking about getting a set sent down soon, but I'm gonna have to find somebody back up in the States to remail them for me since EFS's shipping options suck for international.

Otherwise, the Ironwoody bands that GS carries work just as well as the Jumpstretch version. We picked up a fresh set of minis from them a few months ago.

PM Tonka as HP suggested (if Titan gear is what you want). Knee & wrist wraps are fairly cheap, squat suits & bench shirts around the $200 mark. Much cheaper than the Metal gear option, but depends on your preference.

Inzer gear online from Inzernet etc.

Thanks Nate! Have PMed Tonka and sussed out the Powerhouse site. Old bull also helping out 8)

The sizing may be an issue eg squat suit size 52 for waist and pelvis but a 56 for straps and thigh
