Some of the members have the courage to question the committee about the $50,000 debt it incurred. After all the money belongs to the members of the organisation and they have a say in how it is spent for example do we need to send 2 managers to the worlds when there are only 4 team members, all paid for?

Why wasn't the Womens Team to the Worlds in the last two years drug tested as required by Article 15.1 of the IFBB Constitution. The drug testing rules are for every one not just for an identified few.

It is the democratic right of any member to ask questions of the organisation but this crowd is ultra sensitive about enquiries and slag any one who dares to ask. What do they have to hide?Good on the the members who refuse to be silenced and stand up to arrogance of a few people who are overwhelmed with their own importance.

In answer to your last comment Tom, the one manager and my husband (Mark Stewart) who went to the the Womans Worlds paid for their own trips completely. Now that is that decication to the sport. They got nothing out of the trip apart from self satisfaction and pride for helping the team and doing what they love best. No reimbursed has been asked for by Jean Scott who was the manger nor from Mark Stewart who was on holiday and judging and running the registersration at the event.

As for the drug testing before the event, I dont know about the other woman but I was tested at the Nationals and returned a negative result and I was/am available at any time during the year in the out of competition in the drug testing programme, and I have just returned another negitive test. the womans worlds test the top 5. After an event, regional or national, the NZDSA is given the top 3 placing of evey class and they are the ones selected for out of contest testing as per the NZSDA requirment. They are also advised of any selections of internation competitors who may be tested at any time.

As for the fact of certain subjects being hiden, I think you will find if you bothered to come to the meeting today since you are a life member, that the President and the executive committee have nothing hidden at all. These people have worked hard and have not bolted when the going got tough. At he meeting today we have our financial accountant so she can answer anything.

Another thing Tom, I was the only athlete who was paid for after my overall win in 2004. Corina Schruler, and Fiona Roberts were only 50% funded on their airfare only. the NZFBB did not incurr any other costs for the girls for example, registration costs, accomadation etc. Eleanor Stewart paid her own way completely at no cost what so ever to the NZFBB.

The fact of the funding for the selected athletes was a known fact at the 2004. You judged there and you were at the judges meeting for the team selection so you know the circumstances the team was selected under and the NZFBB stuck to their word. There were no hidden costs spent on the team. Once again confirmation of this will be confirmed by the financial accountant if asked at the meeting this morning

Hi Jo one thing I do have to ask is why only 1 athelete fully funded ? don't you get enough government funding ? I thought the point of all drug testing etc was to get to get government funding so more athletes had the oppurtunity to compete overseas ?

I can say for myself I have never got any help funding wise at all ? I am supposed to represent NZ at the pro shows I compete in these days but I get no newsletters , no contact at all from the NZBB ? I am not digging at you personally at all but sometimes I wish I did get bit help it big world out there and i have to do it all myself :)

thanks

Justin

Hi Justin, I am not the secretary for the NZFBB but I can reply to your question about the newsletters. There is a computer generated list of the current members of the NZFBB and they are the ones who recieve the newsletters. So if you are not a current member with the NZFBB then you will not recieve one, not cos we dont want you to have one but the NZFBB must look after the current members, but Justin, I do understand what you mean and you do represent NZ so I will if ensure that you get them from now on as you are a IFBB Pro and you are a very important athlete. If you send me your postal address I can either send the latest one out to you and the any future newsletters. And as for the guest posing, your contest organiser in Welli is Terry Hills so you could call him and offer your self as guest poser. Other than that, I checked out your site well done and good job. You will receive lots of satisfaction out of it. Is good to see someone else creating a kiwi bodybuilding site which is informative and interesting so good on you.

Also Justin you can download the newsletter from the website http://www.nzfbb.org.nz but it is a few pages.

take care, Jo

Froggie, there never was any missing money. The NZFBB Accountant and the NZFBB Legal advisor were both present at the with all financial paper work to back everything up. Everything financial was all above board with invoices and reciepts all in order. These invoices were available at the meeting for any member to check if they wished to do so. The rumour that was spread about the missing money was just that, a rumour, which has caused alot of trouble/concerns and unnecessary truama for the accused. The NZFBB has made progress in lowering the overdraft and they will continue to do so over the next six months. Thank you to the members out there who voted to let the executives of the NZFBB continue what they have been trying to do to improve the federation amidst rampent rumours that continually set them back. And let the people who think they can do a better job, and have the skills to help, offer themselves as executives when the time for voting comes in.

Also any offers of help for jobs such as in the creating and laying out of newsletters, seeking new sponsors for events, companies who may put up free product for competitors rewards which could be anything, and any contacts who can help keep the costs down for the federation are more than welcome (as in printing costs, computer cartridges. anything). Every little bit helps whether it seems trivial to yourselfs or not)

regards, Jo
