try going up hill

 Now tham thar are sled drags  Nice, hadn't thought about cars heh...

Just call them, don't leave it or worry about being pushy. You don't get anything if you don't ask. They may have forgotten or something. Did you get the name of the person you dealt with?

Heh, making sense as usual Rose 8) I'm not sure if they're open tomorrow but I'll stop by on my way to BWorks. If no luck, I'll try give 'em a call first thing Monday morning. Back at work on Weds so hopefully I can sort this before then

any idea of the weight of the biggest one?

Wouldn't have a clue to be honest! At a wild guess I'd say it'd be a bit above 200kg - that is assuming the "smaller" big tyres are around 150ish.

But really, that's just a stab in the dark. I read the sides of the tyres but there weren't any clues to weight.

yeah you could get a load of car tyers for free from tyre replacment shop and tie them all together and then add a toe rope. Pulling/dragging them from one end of the field to the other would be a good workout. Then you could have races. Singles/teams, see who gets the best time. As ya get stronger just add more tyers. Even add chains and things.

Yeah thanks mate, we will be using the smaller-mid sized tyres for drags. Did consider car tyres and tying them together, but thought the same sort of weight could be achieved with single slightly larger tyres. This also means we don't end up making the space we've been allowed to use look like a wreckers with so many old tyres about, or have to store/transport them elsewhere.

Hey bro, good work on sourcing the tires.

You may have already thought of this but another idea is to hit the tires with a sledge hammer, maybe not SM but a good work out none the less.

Hope it heaps :)

Hey mate, cheers for the advice. I had thought about adding that one in (saw it on The Ultimate Fighter :pfft:), probably give it a try this weekend if I can grab a sledgehammer from somewhere :)
