Well the silly season is upon us again and with that i'll say Merry Christmas to you all and hope you and your familys a cheerful and safe Xmas.

Its the time of year for family, food and for most alcohol, in which the last two can be the downfall of what we're trying to acheive here, i know speaking for myself ive made good progress in the couple of months leading up to this point with eating clean and good intensity in the gym. I need to know what you's guys do over this period? Do you train right through without a break and still eat clean? Say no to the cold beers with your freinds and family over the barbe on a hot day? Still portion your carbs when theres a feast spread infront of you? is it tough times ahead for everyone here or am i just being a whiny weak little bitch? I think im only getting freaked out because ive got love for food and alcohol which i have binged excesively on both in the past :shifty: Its gonna throw my daily routine way out of whack also, not so much the getting to the gym but preparing my meals and eating them every 2 hours as i do at work. Do i just let it go and accept the 4-6 kilos ill throw back on?

Share your secrets with me!(waves hand like a jedi) what do you's guys do around this time?

Merry Christmas to all you mofos too  Cheers for your help this year not mention some free laughs

Its a tough one trying to avoid the drinking, over eating or simply eating too much. Im training hard out all the way through so it wont be an issue for me as I have my blinkers on  and am currently adding weight so an extra bit of ham or another turkey anint gonna phase me but piss drinking with me mates is a toughy and simply put ....I dont and they give me shit for it  I just ring them real early the next morning

I'll also be treating this as a bit of a break from the diet, but won't be going crazy. Will be drinking on New Years (would be rude not to), but my goal was to shape up for NY, which will be done at that point :) Still won't go crazy though as I have a good, clean bulk in mind for Rugby season once NY is over.

Whatever I've been doing at this time of year for the past few years, I've kept exercising throughout. Usually to make myself feel better about all the crap I'm eating I'll go for a run on Xmas day :D

Life is for living - I'm all about balance, and there's no reason for me to be all or nothing during the silly season. I'll have some wine, but not a stupid amount, and I'll eat some rubbish food, but again, not a stupid amount. I'll also go to the gym like normal once I'm back from visiting the family in Chch for 3 days.

definately got to have a break atleast once a year, and what better time than over the xmas holidays.

just keep psychologically prepared and set a date for when your going to start back up. that way you minimalise the risk of falling into a bad habbit.

ive given myself two weeks starting wednesday the 23rd.

too easy!

oh, im gona eat, be drunk and stupid. probably smoke. but once that new years comes rolling in its a fresh year, fresh start. new, new years resolution. and next year is going to be my most dedicated and committed one yet.

\:D/

lets do 'dis!

It doesn't occur often but totally agree with SM :pfft:

Take a break and enjoy the festive activities, catch up with friends and family and you have any or just go and have fun without the worry of carbs, gym routine or sleep.

Merry Xmas to all and hope everyone's wishes come true in the new year.

as i'm working through this xmas, i will be training right through excpet those days such as xmas day, boxing day etc etc, the gym has broken up the hours though into Morning shift, and night shift, morning shift from 8am till 1pm and night shift 5pm until 730pm. For a privately owned gym i consider that pretty good of them.

Merry Christmas too all

That is good - my gym is just doing 8am - 1pm with no night shift, so no lazy days for me at Xmas!
