Ok basically over the next month I am going to try and bulk up, at the moment I am skinny as heck and not very bulk. I have been going to the gym on occasion this year and am certainly bulker than i was last year but I am wondering how effective supplements etc will be. I am already using protein powder but was thinking of getting kre-alkalyne (spelling?) or some other performance enhancer and wondering if it would be very effective. I am not sure how often I would be gyming but most likely 3 or 4 days a week soley focusing on increasing the size of my chest and arms. As I have only recently turned 18 I don't want to spend $xxx amount if its not going to be greatly effective which is why i want your opinion. During this time I am also trying to eat as much as I can however due to certain reasons i may be restricted in that sense due to money. So is it worth buying something like kre alkalyne or anything you can suggest as I am desperate to go from the smallest guy in school to a more respectful status gaining a lot more strength although obviously i realize how difficult this will be.

Thanks

As far as cost-effective supplements go, protein is unbeatable. Next in line is creatine. Kre-alkalyn is just a fancy version of that - and personally, I'm not sure it's worth the extra dough. I just stick to plain old (cheap) creatine. :)

After those two, anything further down the cost-effective supplement line is very optional.

Yeah as others have said just get a good protein powder and with the rest of money get lots of good food. Protein will be your biggest expense, but if you can stomach it eat liver. Its an exellent protein source and sells for 3$ a kilo which makes it one of the cheapest protein sources by far. This means you can get a real food protein source of 50g for around 60 cents.
