digestive system struggles with whey

anyone else have this problem? I seem to have developed more of a lactose intolerance as time goes by. I have tried egg powder which tastes pretty crap but doesn't seem to help much either, still very gassy ect... Foods gotten very boring so struggling to get enough protein some days so still using a little whey and egg powder but getting pretty over the belly aches.

any answers for a good easy protein source? thinking of trying soy based powder and seeing how that goes.

If it's egg protein as well, maybe try taking digestive enzymes/a digestive aid to restore some flora in your gut. f*ck the soy protein. It mixes like quicksand and is utterly foul :shock: It'd probably make the problem worse.

chicken breasts, flavoured tuna but starting to get the squirts from i think the tuna.probably the flavoured stuff processed in thailand is not as good as the unflavoured.egg omlettes.steak.protien powders. mainly what i use for protien sources.

have you tried different brands of whey might be the one your using thats giving you gut problems

WPI typically has a tenth the lactose of WPC.

Other than this try some Yakult to make sure all the good bugs are there,see how that goes. The bacteria use the lactose as fuel and might save the belly aches. Wouldn't hurt to try. I have the stuff most days even though I can handle lactose sweet as. Just making sure I'm digesting food properly and getting all the nutrients from it that I can.
