most likley your triceps stronger than your shoulders so your shoulders burn out first.so theres 2 things you could do.

1- strengthen your shoulders

2- prefatigue your triceps before you do close grip.could do dips or skullcrushers first.

dips are no.1 excercise for triceps imo.

hey I like CGBP, but dont find it puts stress on my shoulders, i use a grip about an inch n a bit outside the rough middle bit and elbows tucked in and sort of push it away from my body through my palms if this makes sence, dont seem to get stress on my shoulders just tris

Yep elbows tucked in & pushing the bar away from the normal angle of pressing seems to hit them the best but it depends on your upper body size & flexability as to whether you can get them elbows in close. Best not go too heavy until you get the feel right. They are one of the best tricep mass builders imo.

It's all getting a bit complicated for me. I'm pretty simple so I have to keep things simple. I use a reasonably close grip and which I vary from time to time. But I never go too close. I like to use lots of weight while keeping good form.

The nature of the exercise is a compound movement so it is going to engage the shoulders and chest regardless. I will always go down to my chest but will generally stop short of locking out at the top.

IMO don't worry about "feeling" the triceps too much on this. As I said it's a compound movement that is meant to be done with lots of weight.
