Casein

I’ve seen a couple of 100% casein powders including ON vanilla and chocolate. I don't mean the dodgy ‘propriety blends’ that are mixed together with every other different powder under the sun.

Do you buy casein powder?

Does it taste like whey?

Do you recommend it?

never bought it myself but i drink quite a bit of milk which is lyk 70% casein

Yep, I buy the ON Casein that you mentioned, and have had both Vanilla and Choc flavours (going through Choc currently)

Does it taste like whey?

Nope, a lot thicker and a bit harder to mix, recommend a stick mixer/blender for it.

IMHO, it tastes great! :grin: I see it as a dessert every night. I liked the vanilla better than the choc flavour, but that's probably personal preference. Even my Mrs nicks a sip whenever I have one :roll: :pfft:

It tastes kind of like a thickshake if you are into those, the type that they melt ice cream into =P~ (it's making me crave one thinking about it) Especially good with milk, but pretty good with water too.

Throw in a bit of Peanut Butter to the choc shake, and I reckon it tastes like liquified peanut slab :grin: PB is great with the Vanilla flavour too.

Some people think it has a bit of a gritty texture, but I don't notice it.

Yep, if you can afford it I say go for it Try a small tub first though, as I know of one or two people who didn't rate the taste/consistency of it. And I highly recommend the ON stuff
