Gyms in the North Shore..

Or club physical albany (pretty much where I am based). Is a great gym, the members are all really down to earth and everyone seems to know each other, the good thing about joining club physical is you only have to pay to belong to one branch but get to train at all thier branches at no extra cost which is awesome for variety. So you could go train at the birkenhead branch or the 3 branches in the city just for a change of scenery.

Fair enough. Only gone by what I've seen at all the gyms I've been to. Each gym does seem to vary a little by not having one particular piece of equipment.

But in saying that the gear at Harbour was good solid stuff and plenty of it. Liked the Smith Machine there.

Totally different to Paul's Whangarei gym at Supplements Direct but again, it had enough good gear there. Hard core and enough stuff to do the right amount of damage.

They both beat Pro Fitness in Chch where the chrome splinters off the bars into your hands.

Had a session with a "skinny" trainer :pfft: at Harbour Fitness recently and the gym was outstanding.

He's not skinny .... he's fine boned

here's a shot of the main gym at Harbour ...

Can anyone recommend a good gym shore ways? I'm going to the Massey Uni gym, which has alright equipment, but I'm sick of the people there.

I think you'll find you get sick of the people in every gym. Just have to ignore them and train on.

Ah, so true.

Starting to feel the same way actually, but its cheap and its close so Il persist till the summer trainers crawl back into the fridge in the winter.
