I wear runners for most exercises, but get down to the socks for deads/squats. It's just what I've become accustomed to. I don't feel as steady squatting or deadlifting in my runners, whereas without them on I feel much firmer on the ground, not as restricted as wearing shoes, and can also tilt the toes up as well as get a better feel for if I'm pushing up through my heels :)

I like to wear the runners to the gym in case I have time to throw in a quick run on the treadmill after a weights session :nod:

Yet to try Chucks though, may give em a blast. Would certainly be a solid platform.
