Awesome stuff VP. Those are excellent numbers and thats only after following an 8 week regimented Sheiko cycle. Have you put up some goals for next year? are you looking to move into competitive powerlifting? If so, start planning because you'll be a welcome recruit for the APA.

Stay strong bro and PM me if you want some other Sheiko templates.

Stay strong

R

Awesome stuff VP. Go hard 8)

(Tonka, did you ever/do you still ride a ZX14?)

Hey Rose, yes I still ride and own a silver ZX14. My older brother known as "Barbender" on the bike forums used to own a red 14. He turned his back on being a ninja and went all Italian mochaccino on us and now owns an Aprillia Tuono.

I see you like to indulge in two wheeled freedom. Are you still riding? Doing the big protest ride on the 17th?

A mate of mine in Auckland was talking about a lifter they know named Tonka who rides, with a bro named Barbender. Thought it must have been you  I still ride but won't be able to make the protest. Has BB taken the eye tie to the track? 8)

Yep, thats me. BB did a stint (only MotoTT/Kiwibiker trackdays) back in 2006-2008 but has since taken up moutainbiking with his son. His son is ranked nationally at secondary school level so BB followed him around and the rest is history. He said its been great cause they are doing something they both enjoy and hes dropped a crapload of weight.

Do you do trackdays or race? What are you riding? If you're heading around the East Cape area look me up as its my backyard. Them roads are a Mecca for the two wheeled enthusists

Thats awesome bro. If you are going to do the 8 week program back to back then have at least 2 weeks in between each cycle. Have the first week off then do the conditioning week and then back into it. Adjust your 1RM for the new cycle (only if you better your PR at the conclusion of the last cycle) and go for it. There is a 13 week build up as well but I like the 8 because it has the skills test at week 5 and seems to give you a fair indication as to how things are going.

APA is the Auckland Powerlifting Association. Its totally up to you whether you join later and I can understand your thinking. Those numbers are excellent though VP and considering the time you have been training I would expect them to continue rising. Continue RAW and when you are ready for some equipment let me know as I am the exclusive distributor for Titan USA.

Keep it up and smash that iron

Hey VP, 575kgs good first up total, something to work with now.

Well Done

What is an good 100kg total at an nz powerlifting meet?

What would be average/above average.....

Wearing equipment average in the 600's, good 700+, impressive 800+, NZ champ on a good year 850 ish.

700+ usually in the running to win / top 3.

Record is 882kg by Derek Pomana many years ago in much lesser suits / shirts.
