Podiatrist in Wellington

Anyone know of a good podiatrist in Wellington?

I have shins splints and want to get them sorted. I've decided its time to stop fuckin around searching the internet and listening to dicks at a shoe shop.

(this probably comes off angry - mainly cause I am - I hate not being able to exercise/play sport cause of a stupid little injury - seriously...)

The guy, Rob, visits Shoe Clinic for free consults. Maybe you could ring them to see when he's next in and talk to him first? He took casts of my feet which got made into orthotics, wore them for 18 months. Sorted. They were about $300. They weren't uncomfortable, I didn't notice them in my shoes and they were well made (at a school of medicine down south somewhere from memory).

Another good option might be Capital Sports Medicine.

LOL, I was calculating $300 over 18 months of use. Not bad value for being able to run and shit again etc. They were really well made, no deterioration of materials at all in that time. Really light as well. I was happy :grin:

I got quoted $620 for orthotics from the same place so it may vary as to what problem you need sorted. That's the whole enchilada - the appointment, moulds, orthotics etc.

Very informative though, with regards to what was going on with my feet, what to look for in a shoe in terms of support etc.

Well worth the money.
