What is with Destiny Church ting

A member of the church secretly filmed a seminar or ceremony or something held at one of the churches recently. The news media got hold of it and played bits of it on the news. Basically there were 700 male members that were at the event (who each paid 30$ to be there). They all took an oath to protect Tamaki at all costs, never to disagree openly with him, support him in any decision he made blah,blah.blah. They were told that tamaki was thier king and should honour him with gifts whenever they could because he is the reperesentation of god on earth and should be treated as such.

He said that god had sent him to earth to clean up the great immoral NZ.

The media suggested indirectly that these men promising to protect him suggested he was trying to build his own private army of men willing to die for him blah, blah. Talk back radio callers got on the band wagon saying this is how the brown shirts (who then became the Nazi party, led by hitler) started, and NZ was heading to rack and ruin blah blah blah, and that he should be assasinated before he becomes to powerfull.

isnt it sad that theres 700 fuckwits out there who will pay 30 dollars to become that guys cult following

Pretty sad allright. Some people want to be led, they want to think that this person has all the answers and will solve all thier problems. That way they dont have to think for themselves or be responsible for thier own failings.

It doesn't get more "cultish" than this.

Should just start our own church and claim that AAS is apart of our religious practices :pfft: like the Rastafarian's claim that cannabis is apart of theirs.

 All hail Lord Humungus Jay Cutler :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
