I use my phone, but to write down weights/sets/reps (as well as using it as my music player - iPhone) rather than to text. Find it fills the rest between sets quite nicely and then I'm back into it :nod:

did you buy that iFitness app off the itunes store? that shit is awesome

What's with the guys that get to the end of their set and feel the need to just let go of the weights? Saw 2 today at my gym, one doing cable crossovers, at the end of each set he'd just let go of the handles and let the stacks crash down. The other was face down on a bench, doing some sort of raises, and would just drop the DBs at the end of his sets. never noticed it before, and these two weren't together or anything.

Fricken annoying. Sure I get being knackered at the end of your set, but still, exercise a little control, huh.

LM wellington, indian guy asks for a spot tryna wave my attention, mid shoulder press.. cool. im all about helping out. maybe coulda waited for me to finish. anyhow.

Dumbell chest press.

guy specifies 'im doing high repetitions' thick indian accent.

alright man do it already. 10kg?? no disrespect, gotta start somewhere.

dude starts pumping furiously gets to 15, hops up. f's off.

There's an old lay, she''s about 80 at my gym and she comes in and just sits on the bench then stands up, then suits back down. Does about 4x60 reps then goes home. It dosen't really piss me off it's just weird.

4 sets of 60 repetitions?

Well for 80 odd years old I think thats pretty damn good.

Don't you?

Of course shes not gonna do a 30 set workout like you lol, come on lets get serious here.

Nar the stand up sit down things are really hard. I do sets of those standing up on one leg and sitting down again. Try it using one leg with no help from the other one. :nod:

Speaking of which, last week NZ paralympian Kate Horan was training last week, doing SM box squats with 80 kg on the bar, with brilliant form. It was absolutely stunning to watch. Of course, she did have support in the form of her artificial limb, but none of the lower-leg function on one side.
