Heard some teen noobs talking yesterday. Would have been 65kg soaking wet

"Shall we try the, like, freeweights?"

Both looked around the gym for 10 seconds before:

"f*ck it bro Ima just do abs".

"Yeah sweet"

Not really weirdos but eye-roll-worthy for sure

Theres a group of about six indians (no racist), who wear jeans and style their hair as if their zyzz (rip zyzz). Anyway, last night they loaded up two benches and all done a set on one then went to the other and repeated! Too lazy to change the weights on one bench. One was 40kg and the other 60kgs.

Too many weirdos today to focus on just one.

Dude doing EVERY excersize balanced on one of those yoga balls?

Guy doing clean and jerks with a kettle bell but somehow NOT? Same guy doing one arm standing shoulder press, standing sideways in the smith machine????

The boys who spent almost the whole time i was working out sitting on benches talking with a bunch of db's round their feet?

Can't decide which was the hardest to ignore and focusing my routine?

bunch of teenagers on the smith machine, 4 of them. one guy is doing decline bench press, 15 kg on each side ok..

and what about the other 3 guys?

the other 3 are all spotting him, yes ALL 3 spotting him at once... on the smith machine!

i wish i took my phone to get a photo of that golden moment, LOL. it was so hard to be all serious on my set kept breaking out into laughter

These teens are a good laugh.

There's a guy who comes into my gym who has one very skinny leg. I assume due to some kind of accident or nerve damage. Anyway, he's always on the leg press working it out but the funny thing is he puts 3 plates on the side of his good leg and only one on the side of his skinny leg. He genuinely believes that his skinny leg is pushing less weight than the other one, even though it is a rigid joined mechanism. I feel like saying something but don't want to intrude or embarass the guy. Makes me lol everytime though

Well since he can actually do the lift without much problem, I figure he's actually getting more of a workout to that leg than he thinks he is so he's actually better off lol. If I told him he might start dropping the weight!

Ignorance is bliss

OK I don't normally care when people curl in the squat rack power rack but today there was this wierdo doing exactly that.

The thing is, he was bicep curling in that rack with dumbells........

I don't see anything wrong with this. Did he have the safety bars up?

I find it funny when people stack on 5s instead of 20s on barbell movements. seen a dude a few weeks ago bench 100 for a half rep with 8 5s on each side. lol

Interesting... I've seen that done by otherwise normal guys, variation on the javelin press

I HAVE seen the chest-n-arms brigade drag dbs down to the squat rack - and then use them for press-ups in the rack. And no, they weren't using the rack at all, it was just "free space" as far as they were concerned....

Doing pull ups in the power rack.

Admittedly theres handles on the rack for pull ups but there are 5 other places he could've used and not tied up the station.

Why use that particular place to do pull ups?

Cos thats where the mirror is

I do my pull ups in our power rack because I like the width of the handles at that station.

Exactly this.

Plus I'm only short so the safety bars give me enough height to reach the bars, if I try do them at the other stations I have to get a little box or stack some 20kg plates so I can reach the handles

Okay it's just for the damn mirrors :pfft:

Maybe its the universe telling me to get my ass to the Powerhouse already

That it is, that it is...

Plus, the 'House has the legendary 'wall of shame' for all those wierdos who think the floor is where the plates, bars and dumbbells live when your workout is done... breeds tidy Kiwis as well as strong :)

Have a couple at my gym,

One guy that uses heaps of weight and has shit form, swinging all over the place. Then struts around like he's Caption Awesome commenting on other peoples form. Also same guy will do wide grip chin up with heaps of weights and get spotted for the whole set.. WTF?? He's been going there for quite a while and hasn't put on any size at all.

Another guy will do t-bar row with 20kg, which is obviously way too light for him, and throws down about 30reps and grunts ands yells as if hes going 200kg! Does this every time, with the same 20kg every time. My mind fails to comprehend!

He must do the rounds, as I have seen that at mine.

160 for 1/4 range of motion.

The other day a young guy was doing 120kg squats but only going 1/4 way down.

I actually went over and told him the weight was too heavy for him, because he wasn't even getting anywhere near parallel.

He justified it by saying he just put the weight up 5kgs and was feeling it. I repeated my 1st statement. He took weight off, but it was still too heavy as he still didn't make it.

I tried.

Then the guy who is captain awesome went over and spoke to him. They probably think I am the idiot because I only doing 140s for sets and go below parallel. What a pussy I am.

Haha Captian Awesome at my gym today did one set of tri push downs, talk for 15 mins then another set, talk for another 15mins etc etc. No wonder he never gets any bigger or stronger. Overheard some of his advice to one dude about what to eat to put on size.. My mind was blown, who takes advice from a skinny weed with shit form???
