at my gym there are a big group of young indians that do "The train barbell curl" it is when they line up behind each other and lift a too heavy barbell and curl it for 10 reps before moving on to the lighter weight, then the lighter weight - ala dropset. Following each one after the other like lemmings off a cliff. None of them have anything to show for it.

Guy from gym remembering where I work as I had mentioned it in passing, and ringing me at work wondering where I was as I hadn't been to the gym that morning. :shock:

They are everywhere, for sure.

I bet they also do benchpress, with too much weight, and have spotters on each side holding most of the weight.

They also do the most lame shadow boxing I have ever seen, in front of the mirrors, when more muscular guys walk past.

You see? They ARE everywhere.

Atleast you know who is leaving those footprints in your garden...

theres this one guy that always seems to want to use the equipment that im on at the time. hel come over and ask how long im gona be but instead of doing a different exercise whilst he waits for me to finish, hell just atand there and watch me. it got to the point where im like "bro f*ck off!"

MY RANT OF THE DAY:

I don't drop weights, normally I get them to parallel (on a bench) before rolling them onto the floor. So I'm doing Decline bench today with the 40kg DB (not to heavy but heavy enough) on a decline bench that has you pretty low to the floor (about 4 inches from parallel to the ground). So Asian guy and his girl come over to me at the end of my 3rd set and says pointing at the don't drop weights sign "Can you not read don't drop the weights", Me "are you serious!" Him Yes I am can't you read, don't drop the weights it is scaring people because of the earth quakes", Me "Mate those weights are not being dropped and they are only falling 4 inches that doesn't make any loud scary noises" Him "Can't you read".....So this goes on for a bit more before I get pissed off and tell him to go talk to the club manager as she doesn't have a problem with what I do and nobody else has either in the last 5 years.

I asked the fella next to me if I was causing him any issues and he said he hadn't even noticed.

So after the tool had come back from talking to the manager i went down and had a yarn to her. She had no issue becuase she knows I don't throw the gear around.

I've been in and out of gyms for 15 years and never ever come across somebody having a bitch about weights banging in the gym. In particular another gym user.

In finshing, if you are the guy who had the issue this morning and your reading this feel free to go back to what ever gym you were at before the quake. We/me don't need people like you being precious and ruining workouts. It's a gym weights will drop, people will grunt get over it.

this guy in the attached picture, he came with a button up shirt, some work pants..and had these massive Ali G like glasses with yellow tint on them

I was wondering where that shirt went.. bastard must have stole it from my line...

You should have looked at him as said

"me no speaky the england" or

"you think thats scary wait till I drop my nuts on your misses face"

Telling him to speak to the managers just boring.

Yesterday's oddity.. wiring little guy, doing an odd mix of upper body stuff, mostly badly.... including incline SM press to barely parallel, but making one heck of a racket psyching himself up to do it... loud blowing, slapping himself, stomping, scaring away the evil demons from the SM, before each set of 5-7 reps, and the wierd bit - rolling up the legs of his trackies to the knee, before doing the SM press. Wandered around, did some illogical combos, before changing his trou (from long trackies to boardies) and coming back for more.

Now, it's not so much about the noise, everyone motivates themselves differently, or even that the lifts weren't remarkable - they probably felt hard to him - but the rolling up of his trackies... is that some wierd BB thing I've not heard of that helps with foot drive?

He was annoyed by the sign, it's a rule (don't drop the weights) but you broke the rule and it's very bad thing for the Asians.

Is that why they drive at 40kms dont want to break the speed limit. Mind you they must have missed the rules on indication, give way, red lights, staying in their lane, using the rear veiw mirror......
