anyone else have issues with these guys?

since theyv taken on most of the deliverys from punch and shotgun etc ive had nothing but issues!!

this week alone ive had two packages sent, but both times the courier has kncoked on my door at 7am, and by the time i get there to answer it hes gone!!! :doh:

he leaves his little card thingy, which i sign and leave out so he can see next time to just leave the package at my doorstep.

however, the lazy fuckers never return!

everytime ive rung them im on hold for like ten of fifteen minutes, so i give up for fear of a one hour hold and select the option to leave a message.

they dont seem to be getting the messages cos my goods still arnet re delivered!!!

i email them, they dont reply, leave messages, they dont return calls, leave the card to sign out on my doorstep as part of THEIR protocol, yet they dont follow it!

now this week i have two parcells which are probably going to get re delivered to where they came from, all because of fastways incompetance.

i will again try and contact them today, hopefully with a bit of luck on my side i might get through to someone...lets just hope its not a dropkick who doesnt know how to do his job!

im actually so pissed at fastway and convinced they are the single SHITTEST courier company in new zealand.

from now on, i will be asking whoever i purchase goods off to select ANY other courier company, as fastway are more trouble than they are worth!

avoid fastways services at all cost people!

they are cheapest for a reason!

i can only image how cheap they realy are, with the parts of their services we dont see, such as parcel handling.

Yep I've had issues with them too. After ordering something I didn't receive anything after 3 days. Didn't find any card or anything anywhere. Rang up shotgun (who were extremely helpful btw) and they contacted fastways. Then had to go into to the store and collect it. Its not that bad but when they are paid to deliver it to my door, I sort of expect that to be done.

Sign the paperwork that says they can leave it without a sig...

ive got two signed thingys at my doorstep now.

and the courier came this morning and diddnt even care, just saw one card there signed, and left another one!

i understand its the individual, however the company is responsable for said individual and when the courier drivers f*ck up, blame the company.

Where abouts are you guys?

im in chch cbd.

also, just to add, when i say they are shit.

i mean, they are shittyer than the likes of courier post, or any other post company ive dealt with.

they just dont have the initiative other post companies have.

PLUS! get an 0800 number!!!

or am i just a cheap cell phoner who hates spending the small fortune to call them unneccesarily, specially when "HOLD PLEASE" is their favourate past time...

Sounds very similar to ROYAL MAIL in the UK, where I'm from.

THeres a huge issue in the UK right now with Royal Mail, they are basically going down the toilet and have a bad rep.

There has been the 'sorry you were out' cards that the postie's put through your door even tho you are in and they have even been caught out when a few customers actually answered the door while they were posting the card through the letterbox. (not postbox as like here in NZ.)

Basically they can not be arsed delivering your parcels or come up with an excuse that they are too overworked.

Royal Mail blames 'temp' workers for these issues.

I talked to the local guy about a job here recently, the first thing he said was 'have you googled me? if not then perhaps you should', WTF... what an arrogant chump, he won a fastway award for best franchise or something and had now declared himself the king of the world. They have messed up an order for me too sending it a business with a similar name as mine. Took a week to get it back and left me hanging without any product for my client... p.s I worked out the take home pay for the job on offer was akin to 67 cents an hour (after petrol and the cost of vehicle replacement every 2-3 years) and thats a 65 hour week. GO FASTWAY

Whenever you order shit there's usually a comments section to the order. Simply type "If not home leave parcel at door" in there.

i do that every time too. and that saves the BS

but i orders a few things recently from trademe etc and they diddnt have that option. :doh:

that is disgusting.

i dont understand how anyone can survive on those wages in such a desperately rising economy!

job description says something like:

best suited applicant will be singe, living in a storage shed, who only eats rice and pasta. WITH NO DEPENDANTS!

I've never had problems with deliveries yet. I'm in chch and order stuff from punch. BUT I swear the amount of times ive almost been bowled by a courier van whilst cycling to work is amazing, or had a courier road block (double parked with the door wide open) force me to come to a halt and take the footpath.....pricks lol. I need some abusive stickers I can slap on thier vans.

I was a courier here in Auckland for a while with Urgent couriers. After a year I did my books and found that I really had somehow ended up owing money *almost. Luckily for me I broke both elbows and my left wrist which ended my career on the roads thanks f**k! *after a month ACC asked me to return to work and perform "light duties" :roll:

By the way, I had been a motorbike courier back in London and felt alot safer riding round there than driving a van round Auckland with all your crazy drivers. :doh:

I live and work in Kaitaia, I use fastway couriers for dispatching products all over NZ from work. 5 Years 3 differnt owners not one hassle. Just Smiley good customer service and no complaints from any of my customers nz wide.

I have anything i order sent to my work. Couriers are just people like us. :nod:
