Strongman training session with Steve Mega, Nate & Aaron (a Poliquin trainer from Ireland). Was a good hit out with less than 2 months to go to New Zealands Strongest Man.

Good footage mate. No Eastside boys at the Nationals this year mate. Eastside Strongman is getting some traction so I would expect we will have some representation next year. :nod: :nod: :nod:

Old Acetylene cylinders with handles welded on, weighing about 80kg per side empty. We welded some pins on recently to allow us to add plates (I think in the video we had a 10kg plate each end making 100kg p/s, but have been as high as 140kg, it gets a bit awkward with 20kg plates on not to mention heavy!).

I know what you're getting at Jack, but about all Mariusz & I have in common is a receding hairline! The bandana (or a back to front flexfit cap) seem to stop the sweat getting in my eyes without having a cap peak getting in the way. Maybe I could break out the full noise Mike Christian bandana or a fluffy headband at NZ's Strongest Man! :grin:

Or wait in vain for a limited edition ESB beanie? :grin: On that note it's about time we saw some more ES Strongman video's up here? GF, DSq, MZ hit the crew up?

I think the usual suspects are doing "off season" training at the moment. But now that bench nationals are out of the way there might be a bit more action in the strongman department.

PS - I was on a Rem course in Akld & the other participant on the course told me about this guy that lifts and had a horrific lifting accident - guess who big guy!
