Those damn stretch marks

Morning all

I wondered if anyone else here had a bit of a 'stretch mark' problem? Ever since I was a young teen I had quite a problem with them (not from weight gain either, I was a bean pole at the time). I now have them up my lower back, hips and thighs, and with my slightly browner skin, they're quite visible. I'd post a pic but they're not exactly a pretty sight!

Later this year I have to do an event which will involve a bikini. So does anyone here have any tips on reducing visibility? Even if it were just for a one off event (although I would like to think long term on this one).

Thanks all

VC

I have the same problem on the sides of my butt cheeks lol. And the more tanned I get the whiter they look. I use Bio Oil and add it to the bath then put more on after the bath. It definitely makes your skin softer. I think it has helped to fade them too.

You could disguise them with Sally Hansen Airbursh legs??

Yeah disguising them might be best at this stage (and I'll use bio oil or the butter until then to soften them during tanning). Sweet!

I have the same, I have tried the coco butter, vitamin e oil, bio oil and now I'm using trilogys rosehip oil, they seem to fade slightly but the silverish streaks still remain. Mine seem to hide well with fake tan and using a sun bed seems to make then fade although not very good for me in other ways! There's a really old thread about this somewhere with BG asking about stretch marks I'm sure...

oh it's this one I was thinking of , it about skin elasticity but has some good pointers about stretch marks too: viewtopic.php?p=52368#p52368

I had this issue and thought it was something I had to live with after having two children, but strivectin worked, I bought my first batch from Farmers for $300 a tube, but you can get it online much cheaper, I had suffered with mine for 18 years and it worked, didnt remove them completely but filled them in and faded the colour so tan makes its impossible to seem them now

Stretch marks will eventually go away as the years go by. I have been lifting since I was 17 and I had stretch marks for about the first 5-6 years. They have eventually faded away by the time I turned 27.

I think over time your skin builds extra collagen in areas of the body that are prone to tissue alterations (same effect as a callous forming).
