Les Mills new chch gym

Les Mills looks to have set the standard for health clubs in Christchurch. It will be interesting to see the response from Pro-fitness. :)

Well Pro fitness still has the latest technology in D/B's, Barbell's, bench presses, squat racks and for me thats all that matters lol

Comon Mike to be fair they have spent well over 6 months putting in a couple of orange walls, a new spin bike room & a bit of insulation on the roof. The lifting equipment is getting tired, the benches are ripped & the squat rack was moved onto a bit of a harder surface because it was falling through the old false flooring. I still love being at PF but they got some serious competition now to deal with & they will have to be more than on their toes to survive the storm.

Is the bench rip chaffing you?? :pfft: hey dont disagree the renovations are taking time.

all credit to LM sounds like a great gym but you gota stand up for your family (ie Pro)lol

and im really suprised that some didnt pick up the sarcasim re the D/B technology :?

every weekend in october is a open weekend and your free to coming and use any and all the equipment,

It really is a sharp faciliity and the gear is great

parking is still an issue (has been for 20 years lol) but buy the sounds of things there is plans in place to combat this :)

Went the other day for a look.

Impressed with all the new gear and layout not to mention the cardio equipment. However: At $25 p/w corporate rate or $29 p/w on a 3 year term plus $4 a time for parking your car (5 x week another $20), it's well outside the region of being a resonably priced gym.

How does this compare to ProFitness? Not too much difference for new members I suspect?

The equipment at LM is alot newer and therefore better but newer isnt always good for experienced lifters.

If you were a newbee LM might be the better option but the extra coin it is going to cost you would be a turn off for most normal people.

PS I'm not knocking Les Mills here it's a very nice gym and will force the other gyms in CHC to pick up their game, but it is just way to expensive when parking costs are factored in.
