Did you read this very forum?

I posted a couple of simple recipes here for protein powder cookies, although I haven't tried them myself yet (I seem to be out of oats).

And sludge seems to be a popular choice too.

But, yeah, as mentioned above, nuts are a good, easy standby. Or you could spread some peanut butter in celery sticks and keep them in the fridge, or just tuck in to a tub of cottage cheese...

For my lady clients I always recommend 100 calorie snacks, for guys you can have twice as much. There are some new muesli bars out at the mo which are yummy, Flemings Body Plus and Kellogs Special K choc/caramel. Otherwise those kid packs of popcorn, pretzels, little pots of fruit. Watch the nuts they are really energy dense so you need to measure them out.

The bags or cans of tuna are a good option, as is chop chop chicken.

With a teeny little bit of thought you can snack on fresh stuff, raw. By going for things like raw almonds, celery, carrots, you can be confident of what you're getting.

? I'm sorry, but I'd recommend staying away from processed bars as any form of regular food/snack or otherwise, unless you know and understand what's in them. Regardless of what's on the nutrition label, you can't help but get a lot of extra stuff that's not really necessary - salt, or sugar, or fat, and that's before you get to the really nasty stuff like high-fructose corn syrup or other artificial sweeteners.

If it's not time for your next meal, drink a large glass of water. Control your brain. Sugary food is crap and likely ruining your fat loss attempts (presuming that's what you're trying for). Resist the urges and they will go away. Plan your meals better etc.

Agree with this. Many processed bars/foods contain trans fats in some form or other, cleverly disguised with innocuous names like 'shortening', 'partially hydrogenated vegetable oil', etc etc.

NZFSA: "Trans fatty acids – also known as trans fats – are formed when liquid vegetable oils are partially hydrogenated or ‘hardened’ for use as spreads such as margarine, cooking fats for deep-frying, and shortening for baking."
