Creatine making me sick

I bought PVL Crea Maxx 100% monohydrate and everytime I have it with water I feel like im gunna puke all up back up...and it gives me a banging headache.

I've never had any adverse side effects with supplements, but then again this is my first time using creatine.

Any one esle have this? I literally feel like I wanna do a bulemic's hand down the throat job to get this stuff back up and out to feel better.

Creatine is a phosphate - like sodium you need to drink otherwise dehydrate = headaches. Not uncommon for people to feel nausea or get the shits from it.

need to lower your dose and drink more fluids.

I know guys that just can't use it at all - but pays to start small and work your way up to norm levels intake if you are having a reaction.

I have one teaspoon of the stuff, when i started i just had one teaspoon a day lmao what a dumb arse. But now i take it prob 3-5 times a day.

How many times a day do you recommend?

I think most of the time you load (4-5 5gm servings per day) for up to 5 days to get the creatine levels in your system (something the body produces naturally) up to the optimal level.

Then shift to a maintenance phase of 1-2 5gm servings per day.

Are you taking 20-25 gms a once? Try spreading it throughout the day - take 1 with each meal with 200ml of water each time.

best advice right there

should always start low and work your way up.

For example have a tsp of creatine before you train and have a tsp of creatine in your shake after you train.

If you're having problems, you can just have the maintenance dose, there's no need for you to have 5g up to 5x a day for results.

Research is showing that a loading phase isn't needed, you levels may not increase as quickly, but within a short period of time you'll be at the same level as those who load.

for a whole week, 7 days.

this is the best way - 5 days on 5 days off - ... but you may find you tolerance is quite low. Not a bad thing nessisarily as you are probably maxing your levels out on the lower amount.

I rem reading an article that suggested droping to the maininance level between didn't really do much. But Agents sugestion may be a good option if you are unable to do load phases.
