Do you get sick of eating chicken/oats/brocolli

I am on a pretty strict eating plan atm, when I say strict I mean there is not much variety. I usually add chilii and garlic when cooking my chicken etc. and then just have it with boiled cabbage/brocolli and some rice.

Do you guys get sick of eating the same thing day in day out? Is it best to keep food as bland as possible to get 'no taste' or is it best to add things like soy sauce etc etc

Just not sure how long I can last on this boring eating plan before I crack :(

Boiled cabbage, brocolli and rice? :-s Why so strict? You need variety for nutrients. And herbs and spices are your friend. Don't be scared to experiment with them.

Food is fuel yes  But one of the key reasons people fail with eating clean is lack of variety and eating boring.

Dude, boiled cabbage every day is going to make you suicidal

Oh yea and how long does it take for your 'sweet tooth' to disappear?

I read in muscle and fitness magazine that if you eat chocolate (a small amount) with your meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) it has been proven that the majority of people don't want to eat as much or even don't like the taste of it.

i remember hearing that one too. will have to try it!

ummm and as for your sweet tooth dissapearing thingy, around 6 months is classed as "breaking the habbit" of anything. good luck, im weak as shit when it comes to sweets...

Lol @ 6months to break a habit, it's more like 6 weeks, actually thought it was 3 or 4.

yes you'll get sick of it, I used to do some crazy stuff, now I eat comfortably, at minimal to no effect on achieving my goals, but a lot at keeping my sanity.

Bland food is what holds me back from stacking on the kilos, ruins my appetite if there is no flavour... Generally pretty obsessed with eating clean, makes it hard to get all the calls in. Nothing wrong with a cheat week or an occasional binge. Just make sure your protein intake is high, calories will even out if you know what your weekly intake should be.

I never get bored with the same food. At comp time its more confusing to decide what to cook for the family.

In my single days I lived on Georged chicken, steamed broc with cajun spice with flax oil for weeks & never got sick of it.

Get into the masterfoods/greggs herbs & spices. A bit of chopped onion mixed with veges or do stir frys (in a smidge of H20) with chicken, onion, broc, garlic, chilli and a splash of soy.

Marinade chicken (make into kebabs) things like in garlic and lemon zest or rosemary & garlic.

The options are only limited by your imagination!

Oats; LOVE them! Good with an egg white mixed in before adding the protein.

PM me if you want some recipes!
